If Crawford beats Canelo, then for me he is above Usyk

People hate on Canelo, but he is way better than Fury and Bud will be a greater underdog. I don't think he will win, but if he does? He's p4p number 1 of this era

The size difference between Crawford and Clenelo in the ring NOW is about 8-10lbs and Crawford has a 3.5 in longer reach than Clenelo.

We saw a prime Clenelo get schooled by a 15lb lighter Floyd and get thoroughly outboxed for 5 rounds by a 158lb Khan prior to Khan's chin giving out on him again and they were giving away way more weight than than Crawford would be now even if he came in at what he weighed against Madrimov which he obviously wouldn't.

People act like it's some kind of David vs Goliath mismatch but even when weighing 170 Crawford looks as lean as a greyhound. There isn't an ounce of fat on him and he walks around at 180, a still very lean 180.

Crawford at 154 weighs 0.4lbs less than GGG's average fight night weight with less body fat on him than GGG and a 4'' longer reach. What does that tell you?

Stop glorifying weight bullies for forging careers beating up on leprechauns and then acting like they're giant slayers for finally fighting opponents their own size or not much or that much bigger. The difference in weight between Crawford and Beltran was about the same as it is between 154 Crawford and 168 Clenelo. 168 Crawford will be at least 175 IMO

We know Clenelo is not a complete fighter who can deal with every style. There's a certain style he cannot deal with to save his life and Crawford is obviously going employ that style.

There's a reason why he ducked Boo Boo for years and at numerous weights and Boo Boo has never even beaten a former, current or future world champion. He ducked him because he knows he cannot deal with that style to save his life.

Serge this is what i'm saying people are overestimating the size difference Crawford is 5'8 with a 74 inch reach and has walked around as high as 180 pounds i believe ?

Canelo is slightly shorter than Crawford being 5'7 and actually has a 4 inch reach disadvantage with a 70 inch reach.

The way i see it is that Canelo has been going the distance alot in recent fights and likes to fight in spurts. More than likely Crawford/Canelo will be a high level technical chess match and that gives Crawford a chance because as i said Canelo hasn't got the best stamina and likes to fight in spurts.

If Crawford was fighting against a bigger man with the style of say Beterbiev for example who fights every minute of every round and puts constant pressure on his opponent then i think Crawford could be in trouble.

But style wise i think Crawford matches up quite well with Canelo the issue i have is can he get a decision against Canelo ?

Overall though i think Canelo is a bit past his prime now and his recent opposition has reflected that.

Yeah they like to pretend like it's a David vs Goliath type of scenario

Here's Crawford weighing in the ''160s-170s'' FIVE years ago. So call it 170

Look at how lean he looks. He looks skinny for goodness sake. Not an ounce of fat on him

We have Loma routinely giving away 10-15lbs at 135 and often just under six inches of reach. 20lbs against Haney. But god forbid Crawford should give away 8-10lbs whilst having a huge reach advantage and it won't be that much weight in the ring because Crawford is going to come in heavier than that up at 168 and I'll be surprised if it will be less than 175 so between 3-5lbs less than Clenelo with a much longer reach

And obviously giving away 10-20lbs down at the smaller divisions is different to doing so at the higher ones.

If Crawford was fighting Benavidez it would be different but even then 168 Benavidez weighs 15-16lbs more than 154 Crawford and it would be closer to 10lbs if Crawford was at 168.

To be fair, Crawford would find himself at a reach disadvantage for the first time in his career in a world title fight. By a whopping 0.5'' because career SMW Benavidez has an ever so slightly longer reach than him

The reason Crawford is willing to jump up to face Clenelo at 168 is because he knows the weight difference between them in the ring won't be anywhere near as much as people think it is, because he has a much longer reach, and he knows that stylistically Clenelo cannot deal with the style he will employ, even against opponents where the size disparity (weight) between them and Clenelo was way more than it will be between him and Clenelo

Are you implying that Loma fighting Haney is equivalent to Crawford fighting Benavidez? I done seen it all now haha. Man this is the issue when you look at the paper vs the actual fighters. The size difference between Lomachenko and Haney is much less than Bud and Benavidez.

What's the weight and reach difference?

Haney weighs 20lbs more than Loma at 135 with a near six inch longer reach

Benavidez weighs 15-16lbs more at 168 than Crawford does at 154 with half an inch longer reach

I'm not suggesting Crawford should fight Benavidez who would obviously knock him spark out in a round or two. That's not ''looking at paper'' those are the actual weight and reach disparities between them in the ring and they're called weight divisions for a reason

    I don't wanna see this.
    Canelo TKO7.

I'll root for Crawford until he goes down in flames though

If the bookies give me +400 or better on Crawford by decision, I’ll bet that.

If the weight affects Crawford and his stamina is compromised, I think Canelo stops him late. If the weight doesn’t affect Crawford, I think he can win a decision.

I know Crawford didn’t light the world on fire in his last fight but his opponent was really good. Canelo has lost a step plus I still think his feet will let him down against Crawford. But he can definitely knock Crawford out or drop him a few times to win a decision.

Without the proper weight acclimation, weighing in at 168, Crawford will look flabby in the gut and have worse stamina. Think Oscar vs Sturm and how out of shape he looked just moving from 154 to 160.

The problem is Crawford looked terribly slow at 154 and them straight right hands bothered him and close his eye abit

When Canelo lands a one two down the middle it will rock Crawford to the boots, I thought Crawford had a chance until I saw him at 154 he was slow and the power didnt look good

He might survive the distance but he will get beat up its a terrible mismatch, Canelo is lightening fast at 168 with power Crawford looked abit sluggish and his reflexes were off

Quote me after the fight YDKSAB

We already know even this version of Clenelo who has only knocked out one of his last 7 opponents (only 1 of his last 10 world class opponents albeit he did stop BJS 2.0 on an injury too) and that opponent was the soft chinned Plant who almost got KO'd early by a Tough Man runner up in his last fight, can send Crawford to the shadow realm if he catches him cleanly. However, with those lead feet of Clenelo's and his inability to deal with a certain style, the style which Crawford will obviously employ, and what with Clenelo not being what he once was, having completely lost his will and desire to fight the best since Bivol harvested his soul, will he actually be able to land the shot?

He couldn't even get a glass-jawed bum like Berlangy out of there for goodness sake, Yes, I get that Berlangy is a lot bigger than Crawford but, as said, Crawford walks around at 180, a still thin and in shape 180 and even if he comes in less than that I suspect the weight difference between him and Clenelo is going to be like 3-5lbs.

I don't think he looked slow against Madrimov. I think he was just facing someone his size who can really crack and who is actually more athletic than him and possesses the speed and footwork to land clean

Tim Bradley makes some good points here about the match up

If Bud beats Caneloand wins the undisputed Super Middleweight world titles then Like Usyk I will have to say his friend Terence Bud Crawford is P4P the best in the world and top fighter of this era. To win titles from Lightweight to SMW will be an unbelievable feat. We don’t have to denigrate a fighter because we love another. People can love both Bud and Usyk. I don’t love Bud but he has made me respect him. I love Tank, AJ, EJ and USyk has made me fall in love with. A man of character, charm and charisma. I love it when he says “I am very feel”.

I liked Bradley as a fighter but he can be annoying as an analyst. He knows what he is talking about but boy is he biased.
