I ask you all, do we or is this the age of favourites and favours?

Favourites and favours has been the case in every walk of life down the ages, sometimes opportunity is more important than talent, in the sporting world I have seen endless talent without the opportunity and vice versa.

They do exist but to the majority of fans they're overlooked in favour of easily accessible content from IFL and their increasingly clickbait-esque video headings.

It all depends on your method of consumption and where you're viewing it in the moment.

It's rare to see a lot of long-form content now; this is the era of shorts and quick sound bites. Me personally, I prefer the content put out by the Boxing News guys and people like Donald MaRae. Others, though, could be all over Dan Rafael, Benson and the YouTube and TikTok content. Especially if you're viewing on a quick five-minute break at work or on the toilet.

Then you have to take into consideration the cross-platform and peer promotion along with how the algorithm controls your feed; thus someone like Nicola Tallant, who covered the Kinahans, will often go under the radar.

I hear the Head of Matchroom Media is very good, informed and impartial.

The man himself, Mr Anthony Bellew MBE was on Talksport this very morning proudly informing the world Everton don't go down - yet down he went in his final fight against Usyk.
