JT by UD or KO. I think Joe offers a stern test for the initial rounds but eventually begins wear down from accurate body punches and counters from Toney. Joe's a great fighter as is Toney, but Toney is more technically sound.
I think Toney's chin is better than Calzaghe's power say 1999 ish, which was enough to KD Chris Eubank - a granite chinned warrior. I really haven't seen enough of the lighter Toney to make an accurate assessment, so will keep my trap shut.
This Debate has been discussed a million times already. James Toney is the walking myth. All his fans think no one can beat JT in his prime and probably dont accept the fact that RJJ beat him easily always citing the weight issue. Dream fights involving JT are absolutely pointless considering because his fans are never objective.
Roy Jones beats Toney by 11-1, 10-2 kind of decisions 10 times out of 10... Weight drained or not; at middleweight, supermiddleweight or light heavyweight. Doesn't change the fact that in a H2H match up, Cal wouldn't be able to hang. Toney's style is ALL wrong for him.
dude ive seen Cal take the worst styles that made him look bad but he always came through. It would be the same story with Toney. He was an excellent fighter but joe would treat him accordingly and id look for a similar outcome to when Jones fought him.
JT fans say that about everyone form DM, Nigel Benn, Chris Eubanks to Kelly Pavlik. JT is similar to Naz and Tyson in the sesne that when you watch them at their best you think that no one can beat them but we know that styles make fights. JC vs JT would probably look similar to the JC vs BHOP fight IMO.
I hereby nominate loko for ******ed Post of The Month, unless Rico Spadafora pulls it out of the fire, which he is well capable of.
