He clearly feels he should have been given both decisions against Usyk, when we all know he lost both of those fights and the results were fair. Aka he’s got the hump. If he is actually retiring, good luck to him and he has certainly been a character.
Hopefully AJ will also ‘retire’ to nullify any negotiation advantage Fury thinks the ‘retirement’ will give him.

I'm retiring. This has been the best training camp ever (pre fight). I got injured during training / problems in training camp (post fight after a loss). I don't want to make excuses, but... (post fight after a loss). It was because of the 5000 eggs I eat each day. These have to be the biggest bull**** sentences in boxing.
If and it’s a big if this is his actual retirement his legacy will go down as an ever bigger waste of time than Riddick Bowe. It’s been a decade since he took the belts from Waldo. In that time he’s had about 6 meaningful fights. Where he won only half of them. He should have been in about 20 title fights within that time frame. A joke of a career.
I'd like this to be true so Dubois gets the rematch and finishes it even faster next time. Then we'd be able to move on from the constant AJ-Fury nonsense and wait for them to fight on Netflix in 2042. Not a chance he's retiring though.
