Because of how good he looked in the Chisora rematch, hell in the second half of the Whyte fight. I like him better when he has the eye of the tiger. Dubois doesn't have the heart for the heat that Parker can bring if he fights aggressively. Where as if Parker tries to outbox him, the threat of the ko remains for the full 12 rounds.
Parker has to use his speed and box early on, work in the pocket when they tie up. He should shell up and clinch when on the ropes, or sneak in some uppercuts when clinching. But Dubois jab will give Parker problems, this will be the biggest problem for Parker, I don't think a Parker decision is realistic. Parker has knock him out, when he staggers Dubois at some point he has to go for it
I just hope for a good fight. Parker has more skills to call upon, and I see this as a UD for Parker 7-5. That would make me happy as it would give Usyk a new face to box this year (although an Usyk-DD rematch would also be fun),
pretty sure if JP wins Frank will exercise the rematch clause- so JP has to beat DDD twice ....unless Turki wants winner v Usyk straight away.
Obviously Lerena got battered and KOed but going by official rules, Dubois should have 3 losses, the 3 knockdown rule was in play in that fight and was ignored
Read the room, it won’t happen. Dubois has too much punch resistance, too much power, too much speed, too much punch anticipation. Parker will be lulled into a dogfight and get overwhelmed.
Parker's going to give him a really tough fight. Dubois is not all that. AJ forgot how to box vs him. Dubois just came forward throwing bombs and AJ kept lean straight back getting caught by everything.
