Would you say McKinney is most entertaining?

Alongside Bungu, he's got the Barrera, Ncita and Jones fights as well.

I personally was a fan of him at the time because you don't have to be a genius to understand that some showboaty Brit of Yemeny origin has **** all to do with the terrorists who attacked the US, but I do think the general anti-muslim sentiment of the time hurt him with the US market.

I admire an athlete willing to wear the black hat and play the villain role and earn that hatred the old-fashioned way.

I guarantee you there were a ton of people who rooted against Hamed who couldn’t have picked Yemin out on a map if you stuck a pin in it, haha.

I saw Zaragoza fight Arcero-Sanchez at the Forum. My good friend and his father- both deceased now- and I sat 8th row and it was a great atmosphere. And a good fight because we were sitting right next to where the ring card girls were and I can't remember what any of them looked like.

I'm pretty sure he was doing the highest HBO ratings ever for a featherweight.

Wilfredo Gomez. He’s one of the most exciting fighters ever, period.

Oscar Larios is a guy that isn't mentioned alot but I always found him highly entertaining in any fight I see of his.

Regarding notable fighters Daniel Zaragoza, Erik Morales, for me.

Outside of Vazquez, what's your favourite Larios fight?

That's a really fair response to the equally fair post by @NoNeck . Can't understand why anyone can think Hamed doesn't belong on this thread. What part of him - love him or hate him - wasn't entertaining? From the start of a broadcast to the end, if Hamed was on the screen, you'd be glued to it.

As it happens, regards his popularity - or lack of - due to his Muslim background, I agree with @NoNeck that he was unpopular for reasons other than race or religion but also with @Barrf that no Muslim was going to flourish in the atmosphere of post 9/11. Thing is, Hamed lost to Barrera six months prior to that. He was already done.

Anyway, good little exchange. Great thread.

The only reason I can think of for Hamed not belonging on this thread is that he's mostly thought of as a Featherweight.

He never contested a world title fight at Super Bantamweight, but did have a few fight non world title fights in that division before he hit his prime.

If the only qualifying criteria is to have fought at Super Bantamweight, at some point, at any level, with fights contested in other weight divisions taken into account when determining how exciting that fighter was, then I agree Hamed is a good shout.

Either way, my pick as the most entertaining Super Bantamweight of all time, is the same as my choice for the GOAT at that weight, which is Wilfred Gomez. All 18 x of his Super Bantamweight world title fights were won by stoppage.
