    your opinion

i say "champion" because he was a belt holder. He was never remotely close to best in world. Boxing governance is a joke

Watch Ibragimov vs Whitaker. He was a very versatile heavyweight with fast hands and excellent boxing skills. Not boring at all.

I actually liked Ibragimov and thought he was in some fun scraps, especially early on in his career.

As for the boring fights, as the late great George Benton used to say “if you don’t have a good dance partner, it’s hard to dance.”

He wasn’t “close”to the best in the world at the time he was champion?

You gotta be kidding, he was as good as anyone not named Klitschko!

I liked Sultan Ibragimov. He was one of the most exciting heavyweights, although Jeff Mayweather's advice during the Klitschko fight made it dull to watch.

He was a small heavyweight, who won a silver medal in the 2000 Olympics in the "under 200" weight division.

Iggy wasn't boring. He was a huge puncher and he suffered from chronic hand issues. Jeff Mayweather turned him more into a boxer-puncher but he was more exciting to watch prior to hooking up with him

Apparently, he didn't even take up boxing until he was 17 y/o, didn't turn pro until he was 27, and his pro career didn't even last six years from start to finish

He busted his hand against Austin and had to employ a boxing style. When he started out, Mike Tyson was a huge fan.

Outside of the hysterically bad Wlad fight, I don't remember him even being boring. Frankly, I'm not really of the opinion that Ruiz was as boring as people seem to remember. Sometimes it's more the fights that make you the most well known going the worst for you. You get out of your depth and start pulling back and looking for what to do, way more than actually doing anything anyone wants to see. And you never find it. He and Chagaev were pretty good fighters who put some really good fights in too, where they showed a lot of skill and grit. That said, I mean, if you want to say only as major title holders in this time period, I'm not going to say some of these guys aren't more boring than people making other guys go to sleep and splattering them all over the canvas in multiple title fights.

determining "most boring" tends to be one of the most boring tasks and this reflection in itself is too.
