Whyte has always been British Level at best, now a journeyman with a history of failed drugs tests yet still masquerading as a contender. Sadly Hearn will get him a final sack of Box Office Loot against one of the other 2 British Fighters around the same level War Chisora or Joshua should Fury not fight on.
We must have been watching a different fight. That was some of the best southpaw footwork I have ever seen
Prime Ronnie Barker in that first round - an absolute clinic. Fury was spooked and he would have won that fight if he stayed Southpaw and threw a punch.
Whyte is a fun fighter. Like watching the guy, but he was never 'world' level....hyped beyond belief at times...
Agree, but how many fighters were genuine 'world' level in the division this past decade? In a second level beneath genuine top contenders, peak Whyte is one of many.
Fury had a rather bewildered look on his face too when he saw that, almost like he was trying to keep a straight face.
love how people minimise wins against wilder. they just condense it all into one win as if three wins are not any better than the one lol joshua fanboys are the thickest in the world that's for sure
People forget Fury was a huge underdog before the first fight away from home against a guy icing all in front of him. The 3rd fight was the best Heavyweight fight in this era by a mile. Sadly I think the trilogy was the end of both at the top level aging out both fighters at the top.
Yes, went in to the "lion's den" after blowing up and drugs drink etc. Fury let himself go after second fight and got embroilled in arbitration for Wilder III. He had his chance and blew it
Interesting how AJ fans are shaming Fury for Chisora III when it was largely AJ's fault because he messed around and wouldn't take the fight offered, claiming not enough time etc. Fact is if AJ had just accepted 'B-side' there it would have been easy to make and he'd have had another title shot and the Fury fight, but instead he wanted more time to 'rebuild confidence' and get more bargaining power.
