Probably forgetting some names but here is my list.

    Lennox Lewis
    Tyson Fury
    Chris Eubank Snr
    Nigel Benn
    Waldimir Klitschko
    Josh Taylor
    Joe Calzaghe
    David Price
    Frank Bruno
    Barry McGuigan
    John McDermott
    Jim Watt
    Ricky Hatton
    George Groves
    Johnny Nelson

Found them all very professional and friendly although I hear Fury can be hit and miss.

    Not met many.

Anthony Crolla was one of them and not just the nicest boxer I've ever met but one of the nicest humans I've ever met. Lovely bloke.

I met Nigel Benn a number of times growing up as he had family that lived in the same block as me
Family at the same school too

Was always nice and said hi

In the late 90s I worked next door to the Peacock gym so met a load of fighters and they were all good lads

The Fisher family are local to me and despite the backlash, they are nice people
They have been really good with my eldest son who is autistic and send him birthday gifts etc

I've been quite lucky to never meet anyone on an off day

Herbie Hide, nodded at him, he nodded back, I took that as a win and kept walking as he's got quite a history!

Also met 3 Promoters Frank Warren, Eddie Hearn and Don King.

Hearn is the fan friendliest out of the three, Don King was a big unit but approachable and Frank is friendly enough but reminds me of meeting your accountant for the first time.

Thought I met Bellew, he didn't want the attention and had to rush home to his wife and kids.

Some are meet and greet but others are a bit of luck at times for example:

Going to events and staying in the same hotels - eg was at Calzaghe v Ashira and Don King was sitting at the next table in the hotel.
Going to weigh-ins - Haye v Wlad in Germany had a long chat with Jim Watt outside the Karstadt Store after weigh-in.
Klitschko on the golf course waiting to tee off.
Sitting next to David Price at Fury v Chisora in 2011 at Wembley Arena - he was there scouting his future opponents and on his own sitting anonymously in the crowd.
John McDermott in Oxford Street waiting in a queue for food - he was working on the new Tottenham Court Road Station.

Thanks for the replies, all. I enjoyed reading your messages and hope there’s more to come.

I’ve met quite a few, but the usual fleeting sorts. I haven’t had a negative experience with a boxer or promoter, only with a YouTube interviewer believe it or not!

You're lucky. The only time I met a boxer in a hotel was Liam Williams the day he fought Liam Smith in Newcastle.

Jeremy Corbyn was there the same day and got a bigger crowd!

I have been lucky enough to meet loads including Pacman, Lennox, Loma, Holyfield and Mosley. All of them, including the above boxers have been friendly and very approachable. The only one who I thought was a bit of a melt was Paul Smith at the Haye Monte Barrett fight. He was charging around under the influence I think, not much after his stint on the US show, The Contender. I think he was supporting Paul Butler in one of his early fights.

I also met Hearn just before the London marathon, I said hello and he wished me good luck. Was very friendly (and tall!). This is great thread btw.
