Marciano did consistently go the distance, especially when he held the title. He went for 13 round of chasing down Walcott to take the title, 10 round with La Starza, 9 with Cockell, he had a 15 round war with Ezzard Charles, and mauled Archie Moore for 9 rounds. These are just some of his title defenses, and in all of this fights he never slowed down, never stepped back and managed to throw barrages of power punches for 15 rounds.
Prime Holyfield.. who some donuts unbelievably think was the only heavyweight doping in the ‘90’s. The majority of those 90’s heavyweights make Baby Miller look like he was only using protein shakes!!!!
Any random guy who trains somewhat in the gym and is in decent shape would make Miller look like he's only using protein shakes. Miller is a 300+ pound blubberball which proves steroids cannot magically give you an amazing physique unless you're still putting the hard work in.
Usyk would make Rocky look silly, but those HWs back then were built diff when it came to Stamina. Might have to give it to Rocky.
Miller was taking so many PEDS he was a walking pharmacy. To say the majority of the 90s heavyweights were even more doped up than Miller is utterly ridiculous. There may have been some 90s heavies using some peds but not on the same scale as Big Pharma Miller.
the sequence leading to the knockdown was impressive for any round, let alone round 15. The speed, aggression, ferocity there. of course, some of what he was able to accomplish in that fight was off sheer willpower, because he almost died after in the hospital iirc. Spent weeks in recovery. That’s why he was never the same again. He gave it everything he had, and then some. but yes, few have had an equal gas tank to a prime Frazier. What I find interesting is that it seems he didn’t do anything out of the ordinary for that level of conditioning — it was a genetic gift.
