I don't get why that never is a thing for US fighters?

 

I've heard it said that smoking is the easiest-to-avoid pitfall.

 

They're doing okay, but not at the top level. Nowadays, even that's gone due to the low birth rate and aging population.

 

Because apparently boxing should only revolve around the U.S. according to casuals.

 

Despite the opponent that was put in front of him Inoue continues to look sensational getting the job done. Naoya Inoue seems to be one of the few fighters that has that ability to finish off any fighters at any given round as he pleases. Really just shows how far and above Inoue is against any fighters in his weight class right now.

Enjoy watching Inoue while he's still around.

 

US fighters fighting only in US is fine because US is the "center of boxing" but foreign fighters not fighting in US is a duck of the spotlight.

By that definition all lightweights 118 or below should fight in Japan, which is the mecca of lightest weight boxing nowadays.

 

Fighters fight wherever they can get the most money. That's often Las Vegas. Sometimes, it's the UK or Abu Dhabi or even Macau. The Klitschko's spent most of their careers in Germany. Fighters often fight in their home countries because that is where they are the biggest draw.

 

This is one of the skills of boxing forgotten.

inoue is refreshing to see.

The replacement was disappointing, no way to twist it otherwise. The great thing is that there is another Inoue fight coming up in 3+ month as opposed to 6+ month which makes it way more tolerable.
