Archie Moore vs Max Schmeling

Moore is the boxing GOAT (obviously my own controversial opinion), but in a heavyweight fight I believe that Schmeling should be favored.

I really like both guys and it would definitely be competitive and a fun watch.

 

Same applies to me. I'll have to think about this one.

 

He had a great counter right, but Moore had an equally good defence against it, if there was someone of Moore’s calibre, but who had different attributes, and maybe didn’t have such a great defence against the straight right specifically, maybe Schmeling would be able to land it.
Yes Schmeling was really accurate and sneaky with it, but Moore just has the right defence against it, it’s like, Ali had the greatest movement and footwork of all time, but Norton had the right tools to take it away from Ali, but we’d probably say, had they never fought, ‘Yes Norton is great at taking away your footwork and closing the ring off, but Ali’s footwork would still be too good’, but if someone has the right tools to combat your strengths, the guy could just have the opponents number.
