Benavidez lacks cardio and punch!

In my honest opinion, I always thought Canelo would just walk Benavidez down to the ropes and put the work in. I think Canelo would drop Benavidez and win a tight decision. It's unfortunate Canelo is scared to take the challenge

 

I agree, he beat Morrell because of experience in my opinion.

Benavidez isn't good on the backfoot and Benavidez can't hurt Canelo. Benavidez moves back in straight lines and always finds himself on the ropes. What happens if Canelo hurts Benavidez ? I think its the more likely outcome and Benavidez will drop his workrate drastically but I could be wrong

Benavidez doesn't have power at light heavyweight, so i don't see him hurting Canelo. The biggest issue is Benavidez volume and speed, Benavidez has cement feet just like Canelo

 

Always felt the same too. I don’t think Canelo is scared as much as he wants to stay a free agent. Haymon would make him sign a 2-3 fight deal for a Benavidez fight.

 

It’s too early to tell, but both guys haven’t had a KO since moving up weight. Amazing how fighting guys your own size causes that!

I never understood why Canelo and some of his fans never wanted the fight, I'm one of Canelos biggest supporters on here and even I think he's avoiding that fight. DB will generate the most money, but for some reason Canelo doesn't want it and I won't back Canelo on it. He needs to fight Benevidez at some point or I'ma call it a duck straight up, I don't care what Canelo has done in his career.
