Because stylistically canelo is a sitting duck vs benevediz. It's a horrible match up for him.

The same reason he wants to fight bivol but never mentions beterbiev.

He won't be able to take the punishment.

So you are saying Morrel didn't get tired either? Yes , throwing bombs for 12 rnds will tire you out. You aren't going to look like what you did the first 6 rnds. Still he was landing at a high percentage on Morrel. Every opponent's take away from his fight has been their surprise at how he is still able to bring the work in the 2nd half of the fight. So not sure where you see this bad stamina coming from.

His lack of head movement will be his downfall

When your promotion has the judges on the payroll, that makes up for a lot of small deficiencies. I don't see that Benevidez has any large ones, so he will have a really good career.

Height isn’t relevant here. Durability is. And Canelo is a little iron chinned tank. I mean, it’s boxing, anything could happen, but Canelo being hurt by someone without exceptional power doesn’t seem likely.

Stop talking about the canelo fight they are no longer in the same division, Canelo did not want it. Saying what canelo would do when he ducked is embarrassing.

You are wrong it makes a huge difference wben canelo is actually facing a taller man who understands range nenevidez will be punching down on him.

Remember that midget said "the only thing he brings to the table is being 20lbs bigger than me". So, the midget already is admitting the size is a factor.

This is the same midget who's fought 3 fighters from TWO weight divisions below him to fight.

    Hes a coward.

I agree with you. Even though GGG was a Middleweight, I would bet cash money he was a bigger puncher than Benavidez and he couldn't hurt Canelo. I still thought GGG won the first two fights, but back to the subject at hand, I see Benavidez hurting guys more with volume and combination punching than sheer power.

I posted last night that I think Morrell has a higher ceiling than Benavidez. With Ronnie Shields in his corner, and a few more fights, DM could be a champ. He looks strong, much stronger than DB.

It certainly does appear that way after watching Benavides struggle & Gas himself.

range? Another thing that seems irrelevant with Canelo. He always seems to be in range for his shots. Nobody seems to be able to keep him at their (longer than his) range. For all he’s said to have slow feet or be plodding, he somehow is always exactly where he needs to be. Underrated footwork for sure.

I’m not some Canelo fanboy. But I’ll give him his due.

that said, yeah, he’s totally been ducking Benavidez. Turki made it pretty clear that he offered Canelo an insane amount for the fight, with Benavidez already on board, and that Canelo wouldn’t accept.

    beterbiev > Benny by alot
    Canelo get KO’d by Beterbiev
Canelo sees the final bell vs Benny
    I’m sure of it.

He has more power than Bivol.
