For the second straight fight the Mexican monster has looked good enough instead of the "monster" his rabid fanbase pretend he is. Long gone are the days Benavidez hurts or troubles his opponents with power. However, David is slicker and harder to hit and has great output. He is at least 1 (or more) tier(s) below Beterbiev or Bivol. Younger Canelo definitely wouldve beaten him, but current Canelo can be outworked

Benavidez fought a bigger talented opponent and clearly won in a FOTY candidate how does his stock drop ?

Canelo hasn't had a stoppage in 4 years either.

Gvodysk and Morrell are legit solid contenders. What about Canelo last four opponents though?

Sometimes this forum is an asylum, a madhouse, a mental hospital......

How the heck benavidez's stocks could go down after yesterday's fight??

1st he was a weight bully , now a true legit threat his own size and still wins very convincingly. Maybe he can't beat Bivol or Beterbiev but those are the 2 top dogs and I think he will give either a good fight win or lose

Morrell looked "okay" in his last fight and had all of 11 fights going into the Benavidez fight. Anyone with a boxing brain saw a prospect who was less polished than his opponent. Morrell has the TOOLS but not the know-how after 11 fights.[/quote]

Canelo is old now. I clearly stated that a YOUNGER Canelo wouldve beaten Benavidez but I no longer think Canelo can. Benavidez wouldn't hurt Canelo but there's just too much volume and Canelo doesnt throw enough himself anymore

If you think "gvodysk" was a "solid contender" Al Haymon should employ you with that nonsense propaganda. Morrell was a solid contender and was also visibly green. And Morrell hurt Benavidez several times including a KD...

Gvozdyk is a contender? He's 37 .. the hell u on about? & he's had just 3 bum fights since 2019... ridiculous comment. That win means NOTHING.. & even then he looked **** getting it LOL.. Benavidez resume is trash. As for Morell.. Cuban. They never turn out great.. he's yet to beat anyone of note. Say what you want about canelo's last four opponers the fact is he's beaten all of them since 2023 .. these guys can't get close to that type of activity.. but why focus on just his last four opponents anyway, why don't you focus on all 66? Canelo has more than proven himself, I think you should be looking at your hero to do the same rather than criticize another who has far surpassed him.

I thought Morrell looked pretty good he took a hell of a shot and showed some good skills the win could age really well for Benavidez.

Morrell has an extensive Amateur background and has been competing at a good level for quite sometime so his 11 professional fights is misleading considering he's gone into the 12th round 3 times prior to the Benavidez fight.

I don't think Benavidez stock has dropped at all he clearly won the fight by a considerable margin in a memorable fight against a bigger talented opponent.

It's debatable whether Canelo could even beat Morrell quite honestly.

Both David Benavidez and David Morrell would beat Canelo.

Canelo hasn't fought a live opponent since he got schooled by Bivol.

You had two top unbeaten guys where one of them had to lose and the fight turned out to be a competitive well fought fight.

How does the winner’s stock get LOWERED after just beating his best opponent to date?

This forum is so annoying. It's like, if it's not Usyk, Bivol or Beterbiev, everything is so bad. Yawn.

    Adonis Stevenson?

Benavidez's resume being trash is the stupidest comment I've heard in a long time.
