He is warranted for a title shot but I don’t see him winning, tapales beat him and inoue cleaned tapales so I doesn’t look good for him. However I know that boxing math has made me guess wrong 10s of times so who knows
MJ fight should have technically happened last year instead of the Doheny fight. While Inoue would have still won, he probably avoided MJ purely because of the scared knockdown from the Nery fight. Nonetheless the fact that the fight still hasn’t happened just adds fuel to the propaganda story that Inoue is avoiding him
I was kinda sorta joking. In terms of achievement - yes, Picasso at 31-0-1 and holding victories over a few names we've at least heard of (Erik Ruiz, Azat Hovhannisyan and Diego Alberto Ruiz) rates ahead of a 21-2-2 YJK whose most notable victory is over a shot to hell Franky "Time Bomb" Angkotta. However in terms of h2h value we don't really know much of anything about APR. He has beaten one name that was even close to world contention, and honestly Hovhannisyan has always had a style that lends itself to a shortened career/prime, has been in a ton of wars, and was coming off taking a ton of damage versus Nery. I'm not sure we can credit a win over a 36 year old war-torn Crazy A too highly. YJK, on the other hand, h2h proved a bit better than his record suggests and actually did alright for three rounds... before Inoue woke up and slept him. We will have to see if APR can manage to get any further or give Inoue any more trouble. If not, that 31-0-1 looks pretty padded in hindsight. Going from a ragged old Hov as your biggest step up in class to a prime Inoue is quite a leap.
Of course there'll be a new person. There's always going to be a most deserving contender and whenever the champion doesn't defend against the most deserving contender it feeds fuel to the fire that they're ducking. That's what being a champion is all about
Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Ruiz y Picasso.
Picasso's last 2 wins have been against opponents with a combined record of just 7 wins from 19 fights!! Levels to this game....and Picasso falls well short!! Will be shocked if it goes beyond 2 or 3 rounds
...Joon Kim was like a 14-day replacement. If Inoue fights at least 3x (and he's saying he wants 4x) I'm okay with this.
Considering how presumably low quality the opponent is this fight could be later April setting up a mid August fight then a December fight...would be amazing. Dont need as long training camps when staying active.
Its his fault anyways, ducked fulton and lost to tapales. Goodman and Picasso moved forward in line with that.
