    1. Mayweather- Dominated the sport for a long period of time. Half of his career were title fights. Beat a bunch of champions. Won a bunch of world titles. Champion in 5 weight classes. Defeated 9 hall of famers (more than anyone on this list). Negatives were fights weren’t always made when they should have been. Used his A side advantage too much.

    2. Pacquiao- Dominated the sport for a long period of time. 8 division champion which is absurd. Beat a bunch of champions. Defeated 7 hall of famers. Lineal champion in 5 weight classes which is a record. Champion in 4 decades. Negatives were he wasn’t as consistent as Floyd. Took losses that Floyd would have never taken (Morales, Marquez 4, losses early in his career, etc). He also never unified in any weight class he fought in.

    3. Hopkins- Absolute alien in terms of longevity. Oldest world champion. Broke his own record multiple times. Undisputed middleweight champion with the most consecutive title defenses. Unified the light heavyweight division in his late 40s. Negatives are he wasn’t as dominant as Manny and Floyd. Level of opposition beaten is significantly lower than those two.

    4. Usyk- Number 1 P4P right now. Undisputed champion at both cruiser and heavyweight. Cleaned out cruiser. Beat men at heavyweight who were significantly bigger. Negatives- Longevity is easily the worst among the other fighters. Hasn’t dominated the sport anywhere near as long as the three above him. Wins may not age well in hindsight. Career is still ongoing.

Calzaghe doesn’t measure up to those fighters overall didn’t beat enough world ranked fighters.

Usyk is definitely greater than Mayweather.

But it's hard choosing between him and Pacquiao.

    Some great points.

Just a few things I disagree with:

    1. I’m a huge critic of Floyd’s. But he didn’t duck prime versions of Shane and Oscar.

    2. I’ve no idea why you’ve got Calzaghe listed.

    Really?

    He’s 6’1, with a 75” reach.

I can’t really argue with the order.

But Usyk has got a great group of wins. And his wins are as good as most of Floyd’s.

    The issue is:

Usyk’s opponents haven’t got the name value of Floyd’s, therefore they aren’t celebrated or respected in the same way.

Those CW wins don’t get much love, as the CW division has never gotten much exposure.

Now if Floyd had fought and beat prime versions of his opponents, then he’d have a MONSTER resume. But to me, most of Usyk’s best wins were as good as, or even better than, many of Floyd’s wins. Such as his wins over a 36 JMM who was dragged up 2 divisions. Or wins over faded versions of Cotto and Shane etc.

It's more his body frame and build, like look at his fights vs Smith or Kovalev, I guess you can say they're big for their weight class though. Also, his power (not that he ever was a hard hitter) didn't carry up at all.

Floyd for sure. Not because I like him, he just has the best record. Usyk and Pacquioa are kind of tough to gauge. Usyk is undefeated and has the most prestigious title of all of boxing, undisputed at heavyweight, while defeating the undefeated champion, but his resume is kind of light after that. I think Pacquiao overcame the tougher hurdles and defeated more ATG's. I think I have to give Usyk the edge just because his one accomplishment is much better. I wouldn't cry if people saw it the opposite. Hopkins, I feel is great, but doesn't compare to the 3.

    Agreed
I used to say Floyd was better, but many is greater, similar to how I view ray Leonard and Duran

Floyd for technical ability, especially defence was as near perfect as anyone in a pro ring, but pacquiao, like Jones Jr was just a freak

Hopkins and usyk are not as good as these 2. If usyk had similar level opponents and fought more often? He would have losses

A lot of it is the perspective you are using. I would say Mayweather climbed Mt Everest using the best training and technical gear. Pacquiao climbed K2 with a t-shirt and shorts.

Floyd would be the one with a few losses if he actually fought guys in their prime as the away fighter like Usyk did.

How is he definitely greater? Because he travelled more?

Got battered and bruised by weaker opposition?

    Has fought less champions
    Beat less ranked fighters
    Less title defences
Has a worse plus/minus punch accuracy
Less hof fighters on his resume
    Less time as a pro
    Etc
    Etc

You are entitled to your opinion, but it is just your opinion, as it's mine, but stats and eye test favour Floyd massively

P.s pacquiao for sure greater too. His wins for the Mexicans are way above breidis, Aj and fury
