Simon was 6'4 255 pounds and would dwarf the 6'3 225 pound George Foreman. Neither were defensive masters and Foreman didn't have Louis hand speed.
Maybe only dwarf Simon by a bit and I think Foreman could replicate his performance vs Chuvalo,I mean both Chuvalo and Simon had similar physiques and both trained with Freddie Brown.
Foreman destroys him early, Simon is there for the taking, no skill whatsoever, just falls into the opponents range with his chin right there to be hit whenever they so much as feint.
Pretty much just a repeat of the George Foreman vs Ron Lyle fight. Foreman forgetting how to box and Abe Simon not knowing how to box. In the middle of the fight Simon asks himself why he is fighting a gorilla, and Foreman asks himself why he is fighting a caveman.
Simon would be too easy of a target for Foreman and wouldnt survive those attacks to the body and head
Simon was tough and strong, but he had mostly slow twitch muscles, very little defensive awareness, poor coordination, low ring IQ, had respectable but not great power, lacking in accuracy and timing, and was just overall not a very good boxer. Foreman would look like Willie Pep in comparison. He bashes Simon up with his jab, belts him with hooks, and digs into the body. Simon has his moments and might make things interesting if it becomes a brawl, but I can't see him actually coming close to winning. Foreman by KO within 4 rounds. Simon is just too slow and hittable.
Louis was 6 ft 2 and 205 for their fights and knocked Simon down 7 times. Foremans a little bigger much more durable and much more powerful. Yeah Foreman wasn't as fast as Louis he really didn't need to be.
Even the greatest chins will only get you so far if you can't do anything to the other guy. Foreman knocked out Chinvalo in 3. Louis knocked out Uzcudchin in 4. Simons not as durable as those guys or Foreman for that matter. Iron Chins are the key to beating ATGs like Foreman and Louis but they need to come with other stuff Simon didn't have. A fighters needs to be as good as an Ali or Jimmy Young or as powerful as a Lyle for that to tip the scales(if Lyle hypothetically had a better chin than Foreman which he didn't).
