    Who were great at this?

RJJ was amazing at this, throwing double, triple and even quadruple left hooks without getting countered.

Ali was great at throwing double lead right hands.

    Who else?

Harada loves that triple bossy deluxe jab, SRR has a good amount of multi hooks.

Guys who were trained by Victor Valle had a combo he called a reverse hook that was devastating — tap left hook to the head, hard left hook to the body.

Among the guys he taught it to were Gerry Cooney and Micky Ward (who left his tutelage but even though southpaw used it to crippling effect). Billy Costello didn’t use it as much or as well, but did throw it. And Randall Yonker, a guy who nearly made it to championship level, was otherwise just a club fighter but this was his pet trick that helped elevate him. I’m sure there were others.

The key is that the top one is quick and just a tap — makes the opponent raise his glove to expose the ribs/liver. And the opponent is reacting to the head punch so not doing anything to avoid the body punch. It takes a lot of practice to really find the rhythm for it but once a fighter does, it’s a fantastic (and unorthodox, as in people dont’ see it a lot so aren’t usually prepared for it) weapon.

Julio César Chávez was great with doubling up right crosses, catching his opponents by surprise with the second one even if the first one missed. He was pretty effective doing this against José Luis Ramírez in their fight. And, of course, like many Mexican greats, he was excellent doubling up with left hooks from close range, going body-head or head-body. And also going left hook to the body to a left lead uppercut. He had nasty lead uppercuts.

This one comes to mind. A very fast twitch move, I must say.

    Hi Buddy.
If you have not seen it, catch Louis v Bear on YT , the last salvo from Louis at the end of the 3rd, consists of a triple left hook , all on target, and thrown in about 2 seconds, in fact this performance against the rock chinned Bear, should be spoken about as much as the 1st round destruction of Schmeling, Joe came of age in this fight, not only was his performance near flawless, slamming hard jabs into Bears face time and again, mixing them up with equally hard rights to the head and body, and let it be said, withstanding the vaunted right hand from Bear, Louis was a study in concentration as he stalked Bear looking for openings, the normally stoic and stoneface even more so, Max tried his best and took some withering punches before he stayed on one knee in the 4th " people are gonna have to pay more than 30 dollars a seat. to see Max Bear get killed " there you have it.
neat post dmt, stay safe buddy, chat soon.

Ali's doubling and tripling up the jab is a classic example.
