Damn it's a good mentality Dubois may not be the most clever boxer, but he seems to listen to his corner, coach...
He doesn't have a smartphone, his dad drives him to every training session and cooks all his meals. He doesn't do anything besides training lol, he'll always be in top shape for every fight. That's why I think it's funny when people say Dubois is overlooking Parker.
That’s because he has a very strict father who brought him up in an old school manner. He wasn’t allowed to use the internet and was pretty much trained up to be a boxer since he learned to walk. His whole life has been boxing. Imagine having no choice but to fight to do your family proud. Daniel’s hands have permanent scarring from all the push ups his dad used to make him do as a child. He wasn’t allowed to eat or drink water until he was done with the regimen his dad had set for him. His dad even referred to himself as the “mad scientist” creating the monster that pulverised Joshua in front of 96,000.
That’s great. I don’t have any social media anymore either, I am much happier for it. It’s all bull**** indeed.
Dubois is pretty old school. He was probably a virgin before he met his recent girlfriend. I think he's a pretty smart guy. He understand the importance of self-actualization and you can see it in his life and dedication. May not be the smartest, but he is the one who reaches his full potential due to his hard work.
Well you have a point. Since I deleted all my social media I have started posting again way more here. In the other tread you mentioned Forums disappearing in the future. I was thinking about that. Social media platforms like Facebook are kind of like forums in their own right. I think there just is some need/very big draw for people to post online.
Good mentality, a whole lot healthier than hours of mindless scrolling. My head feels so much clearer now that I only have a little less than an hour average of weekly screen time compared to when I had 5.
Alternate discussion mediums like Facebook have decimated the numbers on forums. The boxing thread listing on the opening page here used to move faster than the fluctuations board at the stock exchange. Now it is like a message board.
