The 90s was a brilliant period that is still too recent to be fully appreciated. ITV were still showing world class boxing. The middleweights were absolutely **** hot, Toney, McCallum, Collins, Jackson, Reggie Johnson, Jones, McClellan, Eubank... Felix Trinidad, Ike Quartey and Oscar De La Hoya were all brilliant 147 pounders. Boxing Monthly and The Ring were both at their best for outstanding writers. Mike Tyson was still the biggest thing in sport. Harry Carpenter, Jim Rosenthal, Jim Watt and Reg Gutteridge. Great, great days.

Lol. What about that drunken Aussie ***** spectator who heckled Nadal?

Damn, he was too nice about it.

Had it been one of the old, more fiery guard of tennis players, they might’ve run/climbed up to where she was sitting and beat her about the head with their racquet - and the cherry on top would them only being fined for racquet abuse.

Or, maybe better still, from where they were on the court, they could’ve simply launched a 140 km or so “service” straight to her temple. Ace!

The 80s and it really isn't a question. Look how many great fights took place in that period of time.

During the 70s and 80s, got to watch the stacked lightheavy division on free TV on Saturday afternoons. Doesn't get much better than that.

Mine would be the mid and late 80s. I always liked boxing and found that a store near me sold KO Magazine. A little bit later I moved and found out that there was a gym nearby. The same day that I learned about the place I was there signing up. And so it began......

I used to watch boxing whenever I could. But since my time with the pros my interest in what others were doing just kinda fell off and it's never returned. I reffed and judged with the ams, I even passed my test to start judging with the ABC, but then popped out a stroke.

    Great sport!

    2010's for sure:

You had the golden age of HW boxing with AJ, Fury, Wilder, Whyte, Haye, Bellew, Parker, all in massive fights with each other.
You had the best Mexican ever in Canelo in major fights every year for a decade.
You had Spence and Crawford, probably the 2 best ever welterweights behind Floyd, clearing out the division for a super fight.
You had the emergence of Tank Davis, the most brutal <147 fighter of all time with a 95%+ KO rate.
You had Usyk clear out CW in the WBSS, the best ever CW imo.
The best chin ever in GGG and probably the best middleweight ever as well in his prime.
You had Floyd vs Manny, the biggest fight ever where the best ever caps of the best ever career retiring unbeaten.

Late 90s. Because it´s when I started it, and to me the fighters from that era have a aura like no other...

Same; except that for me "early 00s" means the retirement of Lennox Lewis (Lewis Vs. Vitali)
