He should have came in lighter imo, he needed to be quicker on his feet vs Bakole who's stationary and won't be hard to find. Joe might be more flat footed at this higher weight which plays right into Bakoles gameplan, we'll see how this one plays out. I'm still riding with Parker.
As others have said 300 for Takam. And he looked slow in that fight, but it was enough. He’s still very dangerous Agreed. But he’s still very dangerous.
Strange that you would suggest he is juicing. Wilder went from 236lb to 273lbs of lean muscle in 3 months for Fury 2. So, surely, Parker can also achieve similar (actually lesser) results au natural
Just because Heavyweight has no cap doesn't mean fighters shouldn't focus on maintaining a decent weight. They are still professional athletes. Parker looks bloated and soft, dumb decision.
It's hard for active fighters to gain weight while in camp. You are not going to build meaningful solid mass with 3+ fights a year. JP has been out of the ring for 11 months, and spent at least 6 of those training around a second hit up with Zhang which was contracted. He has just had a lot of time to bulk up and train.
I saw the clip of that Bakole weigh in. He's wearing full clothes, jeans, jacket and jewelry. But even factoring that he'll be over 300 at the official weigh-in.
I always wonder what the gym rat fighters think of the guys who blow up. Like, what’s AJ think looking at these guys other than I guess “what the hell are you doing?”
I don’t know about a KO, but I’m heavily favoring Parker now. I now assume Bakole was offered a much larger payday than he’s ever had, figured “screw it maybe I’ll get lucky and clip him early on”. Simple as that. He’s a veteran. He knows he won’t be close to his best. But if the best you’ve earned before is like 500k and you just got offered 5mil….
Look at these disgusting obese fake athletes. Btw, Parker was fat already back when he was fighting Hughie Fury, you could see the flab everywhere. It's also another obvious double standard we have with our old friend Tyson Fury, who gets a ton of critique for his flab, but plenty of others are fatter relatively speaking and get excused for it.
with Fury, it’s mostly mentioned because it’s funny how different his performance is from his looks. He’ll show up fat and jiggly, then be able to fight 12 hard rounds at a fast pace like it’s nothing.
For sure. I'm thinking Parker's extra weight will make him pop a bit harder. and with Bakole being 315 f'n lbs, I think he'll gas out early and get stopped late from exhaustion. But yeah, i think points is the safest bet.
