JCC ****ed Taylor up, and he ****ed Camacho up...That is the truth..Looking at Taylor and Camacho footage, it is easy to see that they were more techincally skilled than Pacquiao, using better movement, footwork, and were faster. Taylor's footwork against Chavez was ****ing amazing at times, and he made it seem as he was hovering in and out of punching range, very smmothly and controlled.

Pac don't bring **** Chavez hadn't seen or couldn't handle.

Pacquiao benefited from fighting a few great fighters at the tail end of their careers, and even then he got gifts against one of them in JMM, and was beat by a very past prime Erik Morales.

I assure you, as logical as it is, had Camacho and Meldrick Taylor fought in the same era as Pacquiao, they would have had as much if not more success than Pacquiao..Unlike Pac, these two guys fought in a talent rich era of boxing, where you had fighters like Julio Cesar Chavez (who is much more skilled than today's fab 4) reigning.

Pacquiao would only fight Taylor after his fight with Chavez or after he was close to retirement based on Pac's resume the last 7 years.

Chavez don't give a **** about going to war..In fact he has better punch resistance than pac in every category.

Most talented offensive fighter? because he beat Hatton, Margarito, and Cotto..ALL three had been recently KTFO! :deal

Sloppy ass Pacquiao ain't popping anyone and JMM proved it...Chavez has a waaayyy better Chin than JMM, has a way harder punch than JMM, is more relentless, and is a master at fighting inside, Pac is ****ed because his inside game isn't really that good. And Pac has a lousy jab, so he isn't keeping Chavez at a distance.

If anything, JCC was really extraordinary with his power, chin, and ability to avoid being hit by combinations standing in your chest and countering with bone crushing punches..

Aramani, boxing is'nt just about speed and quickness. It helps sure, but I'll take a great skill fighter to beat a much less skilled fighter that mostly thrives through his physical abilities.

The Marquez-Pacquiao fights are a great example of this.
Pacquioa is much faster and hits harder, but Marquez skill neutralizes Pacquiao's physical advantages.

If you added skill to Pacquiao's arsenal in his fights with Marquez, we would have seen what we saw in Marquez-Mayweather.

Chavez was just as skilled and an all around better rounded fighter who could put himself to compete in more situations against a different number of styles than Marquez could.
Chavez is proven and accomplished at 140 lbs. For God's sake, he beat down a prime Meldrick Taylor at 140 lbs.

Taylor was so good that night, he did not once lay his back to the ropes for Chavez to work him, and he still ended up getting systematically brutalized and internally damaged by the hands of JC CHavez.

Think about this. Here was a situation against Meldrick Taylor where Chavez was'nt allowed by Taylor to take the fight to the ropes and fight at quarters where Chavez performed at his best and was more comfortable.
.....and still, Chavez' skill level was so, he was still able to use his boxing skill and instincts to punish Taylor at center ring between Taylor's speed flurries.
It was an unbelievable performance by Chavez.
Not many if any swarmer types in the history of the sport would have done that to Taylor without the benefit of working him at the ropes.

My point is that it shows the level of skill Chavez possesed in order to be able to still get to Taylor and brutalize him internally the way he did.
Taylor spent nearly a week at the Hospital recovering and Dr's said Taylor's condition was the worst they've seen of a fighter that walked into their hospital still concious.

Chavez had such a good defense that today get's over looked because of his great body attack and offense. chavez hardly used to get hit and sweet pea landed but not much. If Chavez was able to handle Meldricks speed skills!!! and Power!!! SKILLSSS!!!! SKILLSS!!! What do you think Chavez will do with an off balance Pacquiao how is succeptible to counter rights wich was one of chavez best punches. Chavez was a master in the inside and would domintate pacquiao because he was just as good in the distance as in the inside. It the 3rd marquez fight marquez fought better in the inside ala Chavez somewhat and that scared manny becasue he lost in the pocket!!! Chavez would dominate Pac in the pocket!!! I'll go as far to say a prime meldrtick taylor was better and more skilled than a one dimensional Pacquiao. Marquez schooled this boy chavez would murder him!!!

 

I got Chavez stoppage while Manny is ahead on the scorecards tbh, great match-up.

Nope. Nobody 140 and under walks down Manny. I doubt even Duran could do it and we would see Duran just outbox Pacquiao. If Chavez brings the pressure he's getting smacked.

Two of my most favorite fighters of all time. This is hard for me but i will say Pacquaio wins this one. Pacquaio had more successful runs versus bigger opponents.

I do understand though why many picked JCC at that time. Pacquiao was seen as more of brawler than a technical fighter. Pacquaio actually showed his technical side more once his Physical Attributes diminished, (Footwork and Handspeed). He stayed at the top of the game for so long.

 

At 135 I have Chavez. Chavez applied really smart pressure, had power like Marquez but his chin was a lot better so he wouldn’t get knocked down. It’s also a lot different to apply reckless pressure upstairs than slower better timed pressure to the body. I could see Chavez losing the first 3 rounds, close 4-6 rounds and then taking over. At 140 and up I’d give a slight edge to Pac.
