I think you guys are underestimating Bivol a bit.

He's got some very unique qualities that many other fighters lack.

    - He can punch and counter while moving backwards.
    - His jab is one of the best in boxing, if not the best.
    - He can switch from defense to offense in an instant.
    - His punches are some of the straightest in boxing. Rarely giving an opponent a chance to counter.
    - He can fight orthodox and southpaws with no issues.
    - He can match the speed of the fastest fighters in boxing.

He does mix in head shots with body shots when the occasion calls for it. He doesn't throw a lot of uppercuts, but he throws a 45, a hook/uppercut combination, which is harder to counter.

Watch the Pascal fight and see his full offense in display.

I like the way he boxes but I don't like watching full fights of his. He's just too basic, there isn't that much creativity to his offence and he doesn't sit down on punches or even push for stoppages when he gets someone hurt. His fights have no emotion.
That said, he is quite pretty when he gets in a rhythm. I think Yuri Arbachakov does everything Bivol does but better though and with more urgency.

All of you party poopers — I stress the world cinematic again. Not claiming he is the best pendulum fighter to ever walk the earth, or that he achieved more than Usyk. The fights simply had a lot of circumstances making it exciting (Beterbiev's power, Bivol's relative lack of) and his body mechanics are a joy to watch, especially they way he puts combinations together.

As if I'm not one of the major Classic proponents.

I like his style but it can get repetitive watching it for 12 rounds. He does the fundamentals well for the most part and has very fast hands along with good movement. His head movement isn’t that great and relies more on his movement and high guard to evade. He has no inside game whatsoever so he tends to shell up, tie up or move when put in that position. Overall I think he’s a very good boxer but I wouldn’t say he’s dynamic. It’s kind of like if you see one round from Bivol you’ve seen them all. He’s going to do the same thing from round 1 to 12.

Bivol's best victory is a 40 yo man
Beterbiev's best victory is a robbery vs a guy whose best victory is a 40 yo man

They both are overrated AF, nevertheless Bivol is better than Beterbiev.

Bivol is usually a bit boring to watch. The fact that it was Beterbiev he was facing made it much more entertaining. A bit like if Shakur had to face Tank. Bivol let’s his hands go much more than Shakur though he’s not that level of boring.

You could take a still of any moment in a Bivol match and use Bivol as a textbook image of what to do in that given circumstance. His style might be 'basic' in the sense that he only really uses a few simple moves and tactics, but it's so well honed that it becomes poetry in motion. His balance is superb, his sense of distance impeccable, his punch technique sublime, his defence watertight. He lacks power only because to get power you need to sell out on a shot somewhat (unless you're naturally heavy handed) and Bivol always likes to be in control, never to give his opponent an opening through which to nail him. His sharpness, accuracy and workrate are enough, and if not then his fleet feet keep him out of harm's way, like a matador.

It's what happened. Usyk hurt Fury to stop his assaults. That's the difference.

Yeah he's aesthetically pleasing. A Beterbiev type fight really accentuates the point. True what one guy said he lacks some punch variation, but he compensates with brilliant timing and second-to-none understanding of distance and range, which can in and of themselves be extremely satisfying to watch.

both bivol and usyk are boring to watch in most cases if we are being honest. I remember watching bivol vs a past it jean pascal, and he was hitting him at will but could not put a dent in jean or even wobble him. I knew after that he was not going to stop most guys.
