the consensus seems to be that he has a couple close fights but all comfortably have him winning

any ones that are straight up controversial in your opinion?

No to be fair it is one of his strongest attributes, that he has no controversial win, as everyone says dubious hit low

Breidis pushed him extremely close, but it's difficult to make an argument for him winning the fight, similar to Fury first time out

Usyk has not dominated many opponents with a Floyd or jones Jr like masterclass, but he has been the best fighter in all his fights thus far

The Gassiev and Huck wins were both masterclasses and utter domination wins

He has had a couple of close wins but no controversial wins IMO.

I thought Chisora edged him and Dubois knocked him out.

I would say the Dubious win was corrupted a bit by the low blow situation.
The problem was that it was a big hit and not the lowest low blow, so it's possible, in fact I'd say likely, that in a different setting it could have been ignored by a Howard Foster type referee and then we have an interesting situation. Usyk would obviously act differently though and try to hide the hurt like he did versus Fury so could probably still survive enough to KO Dubious with a jab again.

The most controversial win was when he beautifully KO'd Bellew then ruined it by being weird and bowing to him at the end.

The Dubois low blow was blown out of proportion. It was a low blow imo.

A few people think Dubois. It was a low blow but a lot of refs might not have called it. Still, if you look at how few people want the rematch they are pushing, it is pretty clear that very few buy the narrative.

Breidis could have been scored a draw. Not entirely unreasonable to score it a draw.

He got lucky with the borderline bodyshot / low blow against Dubois.

It could have just, but a bit of a stretch. Briedis landed a handful more power punches. but Usyk dominated the jabs. It would certainly not have been the worst decision we have seen.

That is one reason I count the cruiserweight fights--Briedis is as hard as he has ever been challenged.

The most controversial one is Dubois id have thought. And that is the one that seems to sell best with everyone pushing for the rematch between the two.

For me it was a low blow, but was it any lower than Khan v Judah? Or Duran v Buchanan?

And would Usyk have been able to recover in time had the ref started counting?

It's the answer to these questions which make the rematch alluring to so many.

Seriously - if the dubois punch was low and justfied to stop the fight for 5 mins EVERY fight needs to be stopped . On his last fight against fury the undercard fights alone had dozens similar punches and nobody complained .
