I didn't know this at first, but apparently Turki offered Bakole a 3 fight deal + a guaranteed title shot in 2026. So this not being a final eliminator isn't as significant as it seems.

A title shot against who? Bakole is now ranked 15th by the IBF.

No idea, whoever is a champion at that point probably lol. Have the new rankings been published yet? He'll probably shoot up the rankings again if he beats Ajagba. But the thing is, rankings aren't as important anymore when Turki is the one calling the shots.

Yeah that was always part of the risk in losing to Parker, the IBF doesn't mess around with their rules like the other orgs.

Turki has apparently said he'll look after him though and right now it seems that that is more important than having a mandatory title shot as seen by Dubois taking a voluntary defense against Parker.

Guaranteed title shot? Interesting. Turki must have a big plan in mind - wouldn't surprise me if he bought the belts out or something.

It does depend on who`s champ, Usyk wants two more fights Bakole`s not on his radar and one of those fights is Dubois, the IBF are stricted about their mandatories and Dubois wants Usyk before anybody else, Parker is the interim WBO champ.

Depends on who`s holding them, a win over Dubois or Usyk would be by far Bakole`s biggest wins and a bigger payday than the 600,000 he got for his fight v Parker.

But Dubois is more respected than Bakole rigt now and he`s the IBF champ, Usyk is not going to fight Bakole.

It makes sense. Bakole looked horrible and his ranking and prestige as a heavyweight have both nose-dived, so it would be strange if the IBF didn’t take this action.

If he doesn't lose some weight he probably loses to Ajagba anyway.

    Is 600k a fact?
    I’ve heard everything from £475k - 3.5 mil.
