Sad to hear. Tough man. Great fight with Kell Brook. He just kept coming and gave Kell the hardest fight of his career at the time. Some thought Jones nicked it. Rip
Carson was one of my favorite have gloves will travel fighters of the recent past and I always tuned in for his fights. I vividly remember betting on him to beat Brian Rose as a big +600 dog and he got in done... in one round! RIP Warrior.
What truly awful news. My friend used to work for Matchroom Promotions as a chauffeur. So he took care of Carson when he fought Kell Brook. He says that he was one of the nicest people that he’s ever met. They chatted about boxing, sports and life in general. My friend is a huge Sheffield United fan. So he asked Carson to shout out “We’re all Blades aren’t we?” when he got onto the scales at the weigh-in. And he did. My friend also took care of him again for the rematch and for some other events. They developed a friendship, and they both stayed in contact with each other on FB. Carson sent him and his family some signed memorabilia. After reading many tributes this morning, everyone who knew him says that he was just a lovely guy. May he R.I.P.
