He's really shocked me.
That Kazakh was a tough opponent coming into this fight.

 

Christ, he's awkward and slippery.

 

He boxed really well there.

The Kazakh was a bit ragged as the fight wore on but Degale looked GOOD to me. Nice footwork, good countering, he worked out where he could get success and used it.

He caught everything the other lad threw for the first round or two.

 

Exactly, that's what he does best and what he did here - counter-punching, spoiling and evading. The Kazakh was in trouble once he had to start pushing the fight.

Looked sharper than the first two rounds as well. Good stuff!

DeGale boxed well, I'm glad to see he's finally reaching his potential after a few years of underachieving.

wow. suprised but very happy. degale and jeffries are two of the fighters i didn't expect to get this far especially with degales tough draw.

again he'll start as underdog against an opponent who's beaten him a few times before but this might suit degale.
