The ref is in charge in there.

Refs can do counts as long as 50seconds or even more if they want, they can rule knockdowns as slips, they can rule legit punches a foul, they can stop someone getting knocked out and give them a breather, they can even throw towel out the ring once they’ve been thrown in. They can let you bite your opponent, they can let you punch the ref (himself) and continue.

ref decides the rules in there.

“Touching down” yes, several times.

as said, fighters can go down and a ref not call it a knockdown. If this happens it is not an official knockdown.

Referee was weak but I wouldn't call it corruption. He should have at least took a point from Davis.

Somebody else mentioned Usyk v Dubois, and I think it is fair to say its the referee's decision when to stop boxing not the fighters.

The referee shouldn't be bullied into making a decision that benefits a fighter, especially when it goes against the rules as we saw the other night.

 

The difference is you hate Tank and love Usyk so at least be honest. In any event only the referee not fans can determine whether a knockdown has been scored or not.
