On paper, it's a good fight. Both are sort of at a crossroads for their careers. A win against each other would clearly help them get back into the mix. Joyce has a lot more to lose tho as he's looked downright terrible getting blasted out by fat old Zhang and going life and death with an old Chisora whose clearly at the end of his career. Risky fight for Hrgovic since Joyce can still crack and land something to turn things around with his non stop aggression and heavy hands. It would be kinda ballsy for Hrgovic to fight Joyce while coming off a loss, but worth it if he wins. That would effectively bury Joyce forever. I think Hrgovic should take one stay busy fight to gain confidence then fight either Joyce or Bakole.
Whyte v Parker be nice, a nice filler fight until Parker gets a Title shot,Whyte owes him a rematch after the dodgy win in the first fight .
I'm not against any of this. I agree he should take a tuneup but he's getting older and seems to be in no rush for that tuneup.
I write today that perfect opponent will be Filip Hrgovic. And later that day on Polish site I read that The Sun write that Filip Hrgovic jump on Dillian place. If its true its jest Perfect!! It could be briliant fight because they both big man with at last good chin (Filip probably still great). Both dont use defence as tactic (xD) and both like go toe to toe in the ring. If it happend I pick up Filip for win. He is younger, litlle faster (special in hand because both are litlle sloppy on feet) and more dinamic. And probably he should had more in gas tank (I mean health in this stage of career not stamina).
Yes if Whyte is turning down Joyce, then I doubt he fights Hrgovic soon after, as Hrgovic could turn up in shape. Then it would be a beat down. But lets see.
Hrgovic would blast Joyce with the overhand right all night really bad stylistic match Joyce needs to fight shot fighters on the decline like himself and Filip isn’t there yet
Amusing to think that Whyte has something for Parker when he is fighting the Christian Hammers of this world in quaint Irish towns and Parker is scalping legitimate contenders for titles in Saudi. They are operating on different levels, in fact in a different realm. This fight does nothing for Parker, even in avenging a loss nearly 7 years ago.
Hrgovic doesn't have the power I thought he had, against Dubois his punches were precise but didn't do any damage, Joyce knows how to get through punches...
It's a shame. I was quite looking forward to this domestic dust up( for what its worth and what it really is) that should have happend way before now. Both Whyte and Joyce, now, are only ever gonna show us the best of what's actually left, on a good night...
Hence why I said “a nice filler fight until Parker gets a title shot” Still a fight I would like to see Parker get his revenge, all fighters like avenging a loss.
