I think the most likely thing is that they will push for an immediate rematch. A 'no contest' (or something else.....) I think is very unlikely if not impossible.
to a Roach win. Apologies if this has been posted but I've seen it posted on instagram the last few hours by pages like TNT sports. Let's hope Davis's first official (but not unofficial) L is incoming.
It's ridiculous that people fail to understand the rules. Tank fanboys are arguing that it wasn't a knockdown because a punch never landed and that, in fact, a braid went into Tank's eye. The only time a body part other than the feet touch the canvas and it not be a knockdown is, an illegal blow, a trip or a push.
The WBA is wrong. A punch did land. A jab landed flush right before he took a knee. Regardless, delay reactions happens all the time and to say a punch has to land before the fighter takes a knee is stupid. Sometimes a fighter is taking too much punishment and they voluntarily take a knee without any punch landing, which happens all the time. And according to NYSAC rules, it's a knockdown. The WBA just want to keep the belt on Davis to get higher sanctioning fees. Bunch of crooks. This content is protected
Doesn't matter if a punch landed or not. Fighters just can't take a knee to stop the action. The man literally took a knee then walked over to the corner and got his face wiped off. That should never be allowed.
