The WBA statement confirms the referee and judges did nothing worn so that closes the matter. Weep and cry:[url]

That's just the opinion of the writer. Mendoza, the president of the WBA, has come out and said as such himself.

I don't know why people are defending Gervonta still.

I've been watching boxing over 50 years and I don't think I've ever seen a fighter take a knee and not have a point taken away.

    Anyone know of that happening?

The WBA statement does not such thing. The president of the WBA has stated himself it should have been a knockdown.

The only people defending Tank are fanboys, they have a mind that only works in a dichotomy and cannot be objective.

It's never happened. I don't know why everyone keep checking with the next man on if they ever seen it happen. It was a knockdown to the definition of the rule. Everyone knows it including Tank and his camp. Steve Willis started his count and said out loud that it looked like a knockdown.

The question that should be asked is why did he decide to stop the 8 count simply because Tank didn't want him to give him an 8 count.

The next question is why didn't he take a point and/or disqualify Tank for turning his back, sticking his head out the ring and allowing his corner to tend to him without an official saying time out or the round being over.

Final question is, Tank hit below the belt multiple times. 4 of the times Steve Willis yelled to bring the punches up. Tank also threw his shoulder into Lamont's chin while they were clinched. How was Tank not penalized for any of his many fouls throughout the fight?

Yeah I hear you, it's pretty disgusting. It's really a shame because I think Davis is a good exciting fighter.

He's a damn good fighter. He's also been privileged due to being under Floyd Mayweather's wing from the jump. No way in hell should he be the "face of boxing" with the resume he has. He's beat no one elite within his division, ever. Yet, he is a massive PPV draw?

We've never even seen him go after a fighter.... Never seen him have to "call out" a champion to get a fight. He's always just been the "A Side" by default. He's always been the hunted simply because of his promotional backing the $$ associated with it.

Is the bit about the judges having to follow the ref's decision true?
