I scored the first match to Ward 113-112 if I remember correctly. It was close but Dre worked him out and in the rematch he made him quit. Lifestyle stuff is Kovalev’s problem that’s not on Dre. Abusing Vodka in excess does not help with receiving body shots.

Nothing is fixed as I am correct. Dre took the soul of the racist Kovalev.

Benavidez will prove the superiority of the US and Mexican schools. He has already taken car3 of the Cuban school of amateur excellence in beating the formidable David Morrell.

Of course it was Kovalev's problem that he didn't live an athlete's life, and who said otherwise? I said that in my opinion his lifestyle is what had the most impact on his decline, not the two defeats with Ward.

Did you have Ward as the winner in a close fight? I instead had Kovalev as the clear winner. Out of 61 media 44 had Kovalev as the winner, 16 instead were for Ward and 1 had the match drawn.

In the 2nd match for me it was a terrible stop and the referee made a mistake. I think that even without that stop Ward would have won but in any case I think the referee made a mistake. This obviously without taking anything away from the great champion that I believe Andre Ward was.

I actually called the rematch right - predicting that Ward got under Kovalev´s skin and messed him up mentally. I got lambasted here for that because: "Kovalev will just KO Ward this time! He angry now!" Yea, he was real angry. In fact he was so angry that he completely blew his load in the first 4 rounds trying to force a KO. It was a ridiculous gameplan.

Which reminds me of those idiots who said that Golovkin would just KO Canelo in the rematch. As if both Golovkin and Kovalev intentionally boxed to go to the final bell.

To climb out impoverished obscurity, sacrifice everything to become a world champion only to be cheated out of his rightful legacy by corrupt boxing politics. To then subsequently have his life fall apart, battle alcoholism, get financially exploited and robbed by his manager, extorted by a gold digger, forced to continue to box into his 40s to pay his bills while most likely suffering from brain damage. It doesn’t get much more dismal than that.

Thats why they keep pushing Tank, Haney or Teo there in P4P list to have more Americans, even though there others more deserving right now, Opeteia for example.

I remember Robert Guerrero getting in P4P list, another American not deserving to be on that list at all. This was also to prop him up for Mayweather Fight with Vacant Ring in line. lol

Oh I don't know, he is probably already an ATG, and anything that happens from here on out is just a bonus. I mean when Duran got the nod against Barkley, it was just added as a delicious sweetmeat right on top of his career. Legacy has basically ignored anything else that happened past his prime. This kind of late career campaign can only bring upside, depressing viewing as it may possibly turn out to be.

Kovalev was nearly decapitated in the 10th round of his last fight by a no-namer. I don't know what makes him resume his boxing career, he should be set for life at this point.
