Arguello's resignation in the 2nd fight especially where he dejectedly sits cross-legged with his head buried looking at the canvas is a gut-wrenching sight to see.

    Circular reasoning.

One, two wins over a clear ATG and two, skillset and engine that make him a H2H monster IMO. A level below SRL, Hearns and Napoles, of course, but I think Pryor would run many a great fighter ragged.

You almost want to pick him up and tell him to keep going but to what avail?

It was just - if a picture could paint a thousand words in real time.

Surprised no one has mentioned Meldrick Taylor's defeat to JCC. Has to be one of the cruelest defeats in boxing. He was just two seconds away from entering boxing history as the first boxer who defeated legendary JCC.

Cotto defeated by Margarito. Miguel, undefeated and one of the best p4p boxers of the moment, literally bombarded the Mexican fighter with punches round after round, but Tony did not take a step back and continuously pressed him. As the rounds went by, the Puerto Rican's face was more and more marked and he seemed to be suffering more and more, until the sad epilogue in the eleventh round.

Obviously when Cotto avenged that defeat I was very happy. Also because I changed my opinion on Margarito after the issue of the gloves in the match with Mosley.

He couldn't go on,he knew it was over.
The so called fans boo d him.
He'd nearly killed himself against McLennan and always gave everything, but the **** heads screamed quitter at him.

Probably Ali vs Holmes knowing what we know now. Ali had no business fighting at that point especially against someone like Holmes.

Roy Jones vs Glen Johnson. I know it got worse many ways. But I’d been a big Jones fan throughout his career and this was the moment I knew it was over. He looked absolutely awful here - lethargic, slow, bullied to the ropes and then KO’d by a guy who wasn’t a big puncher. Full credit to Johnson, who was a good honest pro. But the RJJ we all knew was gone for good.

What did you think of the first Ali v Patterson fight when hunchback Patterson fought like he had a broken back an you see ali taunting him throughout an carrying him for 12 rounds so that he could prolong the punishment because Patterson still called him clay leading up to the fight? Maybe seeing that you don’t feel that badly for Ali when he got the beating from Holmes years later? Kinda like what goes round comes around huh?

John Conteh-Saad Muhammad II. Conteh had the skills, punch and attitude to become arguably the greatest British fighter of all time and maybe even crash the All time rankings but poor managent, injuries, party life style led to brief time at the top.

He seemed to turn around by running Saad Muhammad close in the 1st fight (Matthew´s handlers were banned for using an illegal substance to close cuts which might have led to an early victory for John) with Saad needing 2 14th round knockdowns to take a close decision.

Conteh just fell to pieces in the rematch, totally dominated. Sad to see such a talented fighter just dissapate in front of your eyes.
