I picked Tyson but Lewis' performance was also very impressive, one of his top 3 performances ever (with Rahman II and Ruddock).

Who would win in a fight between them; Tyson (Spinks fight) or Lewis (Golota fight)?

    Tasty fight!!
    God it's a tough one.
I'm leaning towards Lewis in a nasty battle.
Lewis rocked and bruised, stops him in 10 .
Would have to be a rematch tho.

I'd say Tyson. I don't know if Lewis would be prepared to put on a (much-needed) technical, defensive, and great performance against Mike at that point in his career.

I'd only take the 66 Ali over the Spinks version of Tyson.

Tyson by KO. Lewis wouldn't dare to attack Tyson like he attacked Golota here.

Tyson displayed bette fundamentals and the finish was better, Lewis just displayed good hand speed v a wide open fighter who just stood in front of him, Golota was a very poor defensive fighter, even in his two fights v Bowe he was very open and easy to hit, just a tough brawler.

I think Mike would have stopped him in 4. I too don't believe Lewis would have rushed up on Mike like he did Ruddock and Golota.

Lewis would have given him trouble, probably like a much more competent and harder hitting Pinklon. But Mike's power and speed would have won out imo.

Golota was a slow starter, Tyson a fast starter. In addition, Golota was slowed down by a lidocaine injection he received for his bad knee. He was very static, slow, did not enter the fight, he was paralyzed and this encouraged Lewis.

Overall I do not think it was a very good fight - Lewis vs. Tyson.

Either Tyson would win very quickly against the intimidated Lew or he would have problems getting to the controlling Lennox and would win after 12 ugly rounds due to greater activity. It would be something between Tucker-Tyson and Smith-Tyson but it would be worse

@Jakub79 answered pretty well + Lewis didn't attack a washed-up Tyson like that.

I don't think any version of Tyson beats prime Lennox Lewis. He's too big, strong and powerful for Mike and has a long reach advantage.
