Compared to who? i'd say only Usyk has been clearly and consistently better at HW over a somewhat comparable time frame.

His resume over the last 7 years: 8-4, Wins over Parker, Povetkin, Pulev, Ruiz, Helenius, Wallin, Franklin, Ngannou. Losses to Usyk x2, Dubois, Ruiz.

Fury: Better W/L ratio at 9-2-1 but it includes wins over Seferi, Pianeta and Schwarz. Has wins over Wilder x3 (well officially 2 wins and a draw), Whyte, Del Boy, Wallin, and close contentious fight with an MMA fighter making his boxing debut, losses to Usyk x2.

Wilder: 4-4-1, wins over Ortiz x2, Helenius, Breazele, Washington, contentious draw with Fury, losses to Fury x2, Parker, Zhang.

Looking at AJ's 2018, it was pretty impressive. Beat 2 top available contenders in Parker and juiced up Povetkin. It was all downhill from then, but he did fight the best heavyweight of his era after that and the new blood in Dubois.

Joshua is a Glass Jawed Fighter. He is going to continue to be KOed as long as he keeps fighting.

The title gives Joshua’s defenders some wriggle room as it’s not totally accurate strictly speaking. However, in virtually the last 6.5 years (likely soon to be 7 as Joshua has no fight announced) this is Joshua’s record:

    Ruiz loss
    Ruiz win
    Pulev win
    Usyk loss
    Usyk loss
    Franklin win
    Helenius win
    Wallin win
    Ngannou win
    Dubois loss

    6-4

Ruiz was untrained, Pulev and Helenius were 39, Franklin has no wins of note and no KO ability, Wallin was a sparring partner and has no KO ability and Ngannou was 0-1. There was a lot of strategic matchmaking here and few impressive performances.

Fury’s record over the same period:

    Wilder draw
    Schwartz win
    Wallin win
    Wilder win
    Wilder win
    Whyte win
    Chisora win
    Ngannou win
    Usyk loss
    Usyk loss

    7-2-1

The main difference between them is that Fury fought one of his 2018-2021 “big three” rivals and Joshua did not, with Fury fighting a trilogy in America.

One has to suspect that Joshua would have picked up the same or more losses running Fury’s gauntlet, whereas Fury would have likely picked up fewer losses than Joshua did against Joshua’s.

Why would I be mad when I worship the One True King Oleksandr Usyk who has harvested both of their souls and who simultaneously sits atop of the throne of sport's glamour division and the P4P throne looking down on all of us mere mortals from his lofty perch?

    Nothing disgraceful about AJ.

He got caught against Ruiz, wasnt food enough to beat Usyk and wasnt hungry enough to beat Dubois.

Of the 6 fights you listed, 4 are losses (two by devastating stoppage). The wins are less than emphatic decision wins.

It's not a great 7 years for an elite HW. It's actually quite poor.

Anthony Joshua has been one of the most overrated HW fighters in my 45 years of life.

I never believed in him and he has proven me right several times.
