    How does Fury do vs
    Dubois
    Zhang
    Parker
    Kabayel

Inspired by the Usyk vs Holmes thread where I am told Tyson is his eras number 2

At his best I think he wins against all of them . But he might have some trouble

The Fury right now should still beat them, but they would now be tough fights. Fury in his prime mugs the lot of them, and none of them realise their wallets are gone till they get home...

The version of Fury who fought Usyk the first time should beat Parker. I am a big fan of Parker but he isn't extremely quick footed and will have trouble getting inside. Fury's length will allow him to rack up enough points to win in an otherwise competitive fight. Parker doesn't have the southpaw left which troubles Fury. Fury UD 12. Again, we are talking Fury from a year ago.

Fury vs Zhang - Zhang could score a stoppage in the first six rounds. Fury's large body makes him a very easy target for the large and long armed Zhang. And Fury has always had issues with the southpaw left - see the fight vs Wallin. Zhang has the best left hand in the game. Still, my gut feeling tells me that Zhang would run out of energy and Fury would survive a knockdown to win a decision. Fury UD 12.

Fury vs Dubois is too hard to predict. The Dubois from a year ago would likely lose a decision. But now? He has a lot of confidence. Current Dubois stops current Fury but in 2023 and up till the first Usyk fight in 2024, Fury decisions him.

I will have to think of Fury vs Kabayel.

If the question here is : was Fury a top 3 heayweight in terms of ability in May 2024 when Usyk beat him, the answer is yes. I don't think Parker could have beaten him in the same fight as Usyk did. Zhang would have a punchers chance vs that Fury but probably not past the first six rounds. Dubois was still developing and only during/after beating AJ has Dubois displayed that kind of supreme self belief that his younger version was lacking.

I think that he could still beat any heavyweight in the world except Usyk.

He likes that many people think like you do. It means he gets the credit despite not having to test himself. Any of those names above would have been good for his resume had he chosen to be more active and test himself.

The actual names on his resume are so sparce, despite his supposed unicorn status as a boxer.

Who do you see being the danger man for him then?

As always with Fury, the mystery is more interesting than the reaity. Fury's problem has long been that his resume is very weak,.for an alleged ATG. And his resume doesn't have the quality to let you confidently gauge how he would do against different high level styles.
Therefore these hypothetical matchups are extremely hard to predict. And that's Fury's own fault. We shouldn't elevate him in hypothetical fights higher than he was willing to test himself. Aside from Usyk, a fight he took for the money, he wanted the title but not the hard fights to defend it

Fury ducked AJ, who's main weakness is his chin, and therefore a significant threat to Fury, who does not have dangerous KO power.

Fury has been proven categorically not to be the best of his era. His ducking of Wlad and AJ are clear indicators that he could sit a few rungs lower than 2 in this era. Not only that, Vitali would have overwhelmed him.

Fury easily put points Dubios and Zhang, and likely makes Dubios quit mid rounds/corner throws in a towel.

Has a harder time but eventually gets it done in a close, scrappy affair against Kabayel by UD.

Parker and Fury would never fight each other imo, they're close friends. But if it did happen Fury outworks him in a sparring like match.

You may have missed it, but Fury has already beaten Wlad.

    He beats them all.

Zhang might put him down as Fury can get caught but he'll get up and stop a gassed out Zhang in the 2nd half of the fight.

Dubois he out points, Dubois will have his moments but it won't be enough, clear UD for Fury.

Parker gets out boxed. Fury too big and Parker still hasn't learned to counter and will struggle to get into range consistently.

Kabayel might give him the most problems if he can get to Fury's body with consistency. But in the end I think Fury wins a decision.

I obviously dislike Fury but I think he probably beats all of them but they are good fights and I could see some posing unique problems that hard to know how Tyson actually deals with them until it happens.

But since its Tyson we know we will see none of these.
