This is just for fun. Some boxers have been able to avoid a stoppage loss throughout their career. If you were to pick just one fighter that would have been capable of knocking them out from any era what fighter would that be? They also have to be within the same weight class that they fought in.

I'd pick Roberto Duran to stop Juan Manuel Marquez at 135.

    I'd pick:

    Louis to stop Fury
    Moore to stop Bivol
    Williams to stop Lomachenko
    Lewis to stop Marciano
    Robinson to stop Reggie Johnson

I don't think Ike Quartey lasts the distance with Tommy Hearns.

Technically, the Lewis fight was a stoppage loss, so you'd have to pick someone else.

Roy Jones Jr might be the only guy that could possibly be able to stop Carl Froch at 168.

You’re giving too much credit. Jermain Taylor came close.

I understand this is a strange thought but we had two Valuev - Ruiz....I would have liked more to have a Valuev - Foreman and Ruiz - Foreman :D

Chuvalo could be conceivably stopped after a sustained battering by several fighters imo.

Not necessarily out on his feet but enduring punishment well beyond practical, with intervention from the ref and/or his corner - eg his fight vs Foreman.

However, I’ve wondered which fighter could actually really hurt George and put him down.

I’m thinking Joe Louis - though it would still involve a sustained battering prior to - Louis’ fists would easily find Chuvalo’s chin and I don’t know how much George could take before being seriously shook up and hurt.

I think Louis had a very decent record of KO’ing/stopping fighters who had never failed to see the final bell prior to.
