Wlad was never Undisputed. Its a fact so ironclad that its not even worth debating. Enjoy living in delusion.

Well, surely you can enlighten me.

And while you're at it, please tell me why I should care what it used it mean when those weren't the standards of Wlad's own era?

Yup. Deontay refused to step aside for the Wlad vs Stiverne fight. What don't you understand?

He didn't, but Don King wasn't really thrilled about Stiverne fighting Wlad either.

Yup, the policy of not ranking champions prevented Wlad from fighting for the vacancy. They rather have Stiverne fighting Arreola for it, LOL.

Wladimir was the undisputed champion for the Alex Leapai fight. The WBC belt was vacant- therefore no one was able to dispute his claim. That bout vs Leapai was fought in April of 2014. It’s not until May Stiverne would fight Chris Arreola for the Vacant WBC strap.

What does "undisputed" mean? That there is no dispute who's the champion. This terminology was used equally to "the person who has all the belts". On top of that, you could have all the belts and not really be undisputed, like Tyson before he beat Spinks, or Roy Jones in the LHW division while Michalczewski was around. There were other claimants to the title, lineal champions. There were no other claimants to the title when Vitali vacated the WBC belt, so Wlad was practically undisputed and was viewed as such by majority of the public.

Wlad was KTFO by Sanders and Brewster, then goes huggy bear and home town referees to protect his egg chin. His resume is long but thin. Then he lost a decision to Fury and got KOed by AJ. IMHO Wlad was overrated.

Liston on the other hand ran through opponents like a knife through butter in a much stronger era. We will assume everything was above board with his loss to Ali, although there are conspiracy theories.

H2H Liston knocks Wlad out. I also feel he achieved more.

Yeah, that's not gonna cut it buddy, he wasn't undisputed. Even you know it by the use of the word practically.

Undisputed in regards to boxing means holding all possible titles. Lineal, all the belts and whatever else you can think of. Wlad never did this.

Calling late 50s and early 60s a much stronger era is really laughable.

He had the undisputed status just like Larry Holmes. I rest my case. You can agree with me or not, that's all good.

Wlad can't be viewed as a serious champion until he beats Willi Besmanhoff!
