Hearns and Arguello were my joint favourite right hand punchers. A close second would be Julian Jackson. His kos of Terry Norris and Herol Graham were awesome. Managed to rock Mike McCallum too. Also check out Wayne Powell ko in a fight he was struggling in : This content is protected
Vernon Forrest also had a great right hand. Still remember the right hand that badly hurt Mosley followed by a series of punches that sent him to the canvas the first time. Venomous puncher. This content is protected
The one against Tony Thompson in the 2012 fight in the video is underrated. Completely comes out of nowhere.
If we had seen Roberto fall and been told that he’d been taken out by a sniper with a high-powered rifle from the top of the stands, the video would have supported it. Detonation is the right word.
Randall Bailey, fun to watch. Cartoon/movie type knockouts. Right hand and the hook. This content is protected
Unfortunately he never turned professional but Teofilo Stevenson had a big right hand. His KDs/KOs look so effortless, so en passant This content is protected
I like Coetzee, Louis, Schmeling, for ptretty much straight right hands. Ali, WK, Johansson, Stevenson are really good mentions. Pattersons right is underrated: This content is protected (Better turn on speed = 0.5x) He relied more on combinations or gazelle hook to hurt / finish opponents. But sometimes the right hand got the job done pretty well. Some right hand counters were really mean and viciuos. His right hand lead was also pretty effective.
I always liked the lead rights of Felix Trinidad and Ernie Lopez. Also the overhand rights of Ken Norton and Dave 'Boy' Green.
Thomas Hearns flashing right hand was awesome. Jab to the body and BOOM right-hand to the chin. For me Alexis Arguello had the greatest right hand thrown straight as an arrow.
