I’d love to see Usyk fight Dubois, Parker, and Kabayel before the year ends, but it’s never as simple as just saying what a fighter should do. If it were, Parker would’ve fought more than once last year. I’ll wait and see how things unfold.

Big Joe should enforce his mandatory. Not sit on the sidelines. Face Justis Huni for the vacant title.

Australia versus New Zealand for the WBO Heavyweight Championship of the World.

It doesn't get any better than that.

Yeah, I was talking about Wilder as champion. Wilder held the WBC title for 5 years and 1 month. He lost in his 11th title defence. Usyk has held 3 to 4 titles for pretty much 3.5 years now. He has made 4 title defences. Even as A-side, I think we will be very lucky to see Usyk get to 7 in the next 1.5 years. There is context to that, of course, but Usyk isn't quite the victim of circumstance (to the extent) some paint him out to be

Usyk’s timeline only adds to his accomplishments. He unified all four major belts in just seven fights at heavyweight and became undisputed in 4.5 years. Without the Joshua rematch clause and Fury fight delays, it could’ve been even quicker.

Wlad, Wilder, Fury, Joshua, Parker, and Ruiz all held titles before Usyk, yet none became undisputed for various reasons. Usyk did what had to be done and made the fights happen.

I agree we might not see him reach seven title defences—he’s getting up there in age, and I would’ve liked to see him retire after the Fury rematch. If he defends against any two of Dubois, Parker, or Kabayel in his final fights, I’d be fine with that. That said, Usyk does bear some responsibility for his periods of inactivity.

I hope Usyk does what's honorable and chooses to face his mandatory Joe Parker who's been waiting a long time for his shot. Usyk has never faced a WBO mandatory.

Dubois had been a previous mandatory and Usyk knocked him out with a jab.

It's Parker's turn, especially since Dubois backed out of his fight with Parker with only two days notice.

It’s gotta be Parker next for Usyk I would think.

It ticks the main boxes for me in terms of Parker’s technical eligibility and the fight I’d actually like to see the most at any rate.

If Parker faces and defeats Usyk, he instantly becomes an Aussie, the new Thunder From Down Under.

Believe me, this is already underway

    Every time Parker wins

They inch him more and more across the Tasman sea

Thanks for the WBO for helping push to make the right fight next.

I hope Turkyi likes the fight, that s who really will decide what is next as he is the one funding.

    In an ideal world:
    Usyk vs Parker
    Dubois vs Kabayel
    AJ vs Fury
    Wilder vs Dillian White
    Zhang vs Bakole

If Lee thinks Parker has the same qualities as Usyk, skill, endurance, IQ, he is being delusional.

Parker might look fast and coordinated against plodders but that doesn't mean he's Usyk. Parker is a fat smaller HW which is why he is more agile than the oafs.

Let's compare their performances against Joyce, AJ, Chisora and it's pretty obvious there is a massive difference in class.

Parker probably is a better boxer than Dubious but it doesn't mean he is more dangerous for Usyk. It's obvious at this point the best way to beat Usyk is to bomb him out and you need to have big power for that. That's not to say old Usyk can't be ground down now, but it's never been done so being taken out by a bomb is more likely.

I don't hate this idea of Parker v Huni. Would be a huge fight in Melbourne or Auckland and would get a lot traction. Just a bit too soon for Huni at this stage in his career maybe. He doesnt have the experience or wherewith-all to take Parker into deep waters right now. But give it 2 years and that's the fight to make. Haven't had a hyped HW fight Down under for a long long time.
