    That isn't "likely" at all, though.

    Based on what?

    The majority of Liston's 39 KOs came against guys who weighed 200 pounds or less.

    Seven or eight guys who weighed less than 200 pounds went the distance with Liston. Two guys who weighed less than 200 pounds beat him ... and one knocked him cold.

    Wlad Klitschko scored 53 KOs (far more than Liston), and nobody Wlad fought (in roughly 70 pro fights) weighed 200 pounds or less.

    Let me repeat that. NOBODY Wlad fought weighed less than 200 pounds. Certainly nobody who beat him or knocked him cold.

    So it's VERY LIKELY, almost assuredly likely, Wlad punched harder than Liston.

    There's nothing to suggest Liston punched harder.

    To be honest it sounds like a typical Wlad bout.
    Wlad kill Ali ?
    After 2 rounds with Ali Wlad would be begging to go in against Tyson Fury again.

    Then you would lose a lot of money lol statistically speaking there's no evidence that Liston punched harder a few anecdotes doesn't change that

    '' Almost assuredly likely,Wlad punched harder than Liston '' ? Really ?
    Sonny Liston knocked out 7 teeth of an unfortunate opponent with just one punch.
    An old,very past-prime Sonny Liston inflicted horrific damage on Chuck Wepner-- broken cheekbone,
    broken nose and gave Mr Wepner 73 stitches !
    I would say most assuredly that Mr Liston punched harder than Wlad.

    Except that is hyperbole. Both Bethea and his corner both argued with the ref that it was an early stoppage. And there is no indication in the actual film of that fight that this is true.

    And both Liston and Bethea weighed 204 pounds in that fight. It should be noted they both would've been the lightest fighters Wlad ever faced as a pro.

    Wlad never fought anyone as a pro who weighed as light as Liston did against Bethea.

    Liston would've been one of Wlad smallest opponents.

    Again, that's not true about Bethea.

    I just posted the fight. Where are the seven teeth knocked out with one punch?

    Because they are one-off stories, not stats that prove he punched harder than Wlad

    I don't think the weight of an opponent impacts on the fact that Liston took out seven of his teeth.

    Lol :facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

    wow.

    So… liston with his granite chin would endure the same bombardment that brewster did before stopping Wlad??? Or liston, with his freakishly fast hands from the southpaw stance… would be able to surprise, shock and KO Wlad like Sanders did???

    Lol :lol::lol::lol::lol:

    Wladimir >>>> liston there Bud. Cope harder
