I think SRL would find a way to rise to the occasion and “cute” his way to a points win in a one off fight. I don’t think he would come out on top in an extended series at MW.

Don't have time to read the thread through, so I don't know if it's been mentioned, but Leonard's excellent power would be another factor to consider here. Maybe not in terms of a stoppage, as Golovkin has a strong chin, but certainly in terms of being able to hurt and put a sense of hesistation into him. Even Hagler had to temper his pressure for a solid chunk of their fight.

Leonard was really an excellent two-fisted puncher, to me clearly quite a bit more so than Canelo, who gained his respect. Also a great finisher.
