Adrien Broner kicked Malignaggi in R2 of their fight and faced no consequences either, that's the life of the A-side fighter
While i don't think it warranted a full DQ it should certainly have resulted in a points deduction. 2 in my view. Boxing is meant to be a disciplined combat spot. Ball completely lost his discipline but got nothing but a slight ticking off. Very poorly managed by the officials yet again.
100% should have been disqualified as I said instantly after it happened. If it was the ‘opponent’ he’s thrown out and pundits, promoters etc are saying own fault and he can have no complaints. Whole sport stinks.
From the reactions and what I'd read I thought I better check this out, sounded like Ball had gone full Van Damme in there and roundhoused him. He should have been deducted a point and warned that anything like that again would result in a disqualification, it was a pretty tame kick.
Absolutely right. On top of that if a B side beat an A side after having kicked him earlier there would be an uproar, the idiot pundits would be saying it's a travesty and should never have been allowed to continue
Should have been a point off. But there wasn't so get over it. It wasn't a DQ offence and it wouldn't have changed any aspect of the fight. Doheny is a **** for holding him for too long after the bell. Ball just reacted (though he shouldn't have done that)
Crazy scenes all around. The guy interviewing Bowe (who is as thick as ****) pointing out a few times Bowe threw after the (late) bell. You wouldn't see that these days with the biased productions
Both are fouls. There is no degree of which is more of a foul. So if your asking for ball to be dq'd then you should also do the same for doheny.
It was stupid but come on, whinging about a fighter not being DQ’d for a little kick in the leg after the round.. don’t be a tart mate
