And why? Rahman was a big boy, great power. Mike was kid dynamite, great power. Not much of a size disparage between the two... Who do you think wins and 2) when would have been the nicest time for these two guys to fight? Mix it up boys! Let's go, I don't think this mythical matchup has ever been created yet...

In his prime Mike Tyson should beat Rahman without much trouble. If they crossed paths in a real time line it probably would have been somewhere between 2000-2004 in which case it’s probably up for grabs

Prime for prime: Mike. Zero doubts.

Best time to make this in the real World: Maybe 1998? This was around the time Rahman had the big lead on Tua in the first fight before getting stopped. The ban on Tyson from the Holyfield bite fight was in effect at the time though, so assuming that was lifted. Very tough call as to who might have won at that time. Rahman would have had a shot at winning this on points behind the jab, with a few scares along the way.

In their primes, a blowout win for Tyson. But, as others have posted, the post Holyfield Tyson had lost a lot, and the outcome would be less sure. But, I could still see the mostly shot version of Tyson that stopped Golota doing the same to Rahman.

Good question. I think prime for prime Tyson would KO him fairly comfortably. Rahman was a big, strong and fairly talented guy. But he could be knocked out. So I think Mike would catch him.
In real time I do recall there being talk of Tyson fighting Rahman after he had beaten Lewis and was HW champ. At that point I would possibly still back Mike to win by KO. But a less confident pick, as I would be gambling on Rahman's chin failing, rather than confidence in Mike's declining skills

Prime Mike Tyson will KO Rahman in 1 or 2 rounds.

Mike Tyson of 1995-2003 will probably lose in decision.

And Mike Tyson of 2005-2008 will lose by Knockout 3-5 against Rahman.

Tyson within 3 rounds, potentially in 1.

    Prime-for-prime you mean???

That's like asking who wins between Duran and Danny Garcia.

They almost fought in 2001 when Rahman eon the title.
There was big money on the line.
Lewis got the rematch ordered in court.

It would’ve been a great match up. It’s too bad it didn’t happen that way with the winner fighting Lewis.

True, but we wouldn't have seen Lewis best performance and KO ever.

    Prime: Tyson 2nd round KO
Around the same time as the Tua and Maskaev fights: Rahman 97-93
After Lewis-Rahman: Tyson 3rd round KO

Rahman probably wins in 2001 only because Tyson let his weight get away from him after the Golota fight.

The Tyson that destroyed Savarese, when Mike was still in shape, would have stopped Rachman.

    Rahman was garbage.

Most people would favour Tyson but a good version of Rahman would definitely be in there with a shout to win.

Prime Tyson flattens Rahman. 95-96 Tyson also flattens Rahman. I think the Tyson that beat Golota also beats Rahman, but with more trouble.
