Who hits harder, Oleksandr Usyk or Joseph Parker?

I think parker, but Usyk has good power and exceptional timing

I'm not confident with my pick. Both have power, but obviously aren't Joshua, Dubois or wilder

In my country, we call him "Timothy Oleksandrphant Yewstick." Lol I think the local newspaper came up with it. They say it is written by a mad man who only writes about sports on the full moon. Granted, the source for that is the same writer, in the same newspaper. But I'm sure he fact-checked himself. He's pretty good.

 

If you had Parker and Usyk hit a punch meter it would probably be close. In the ring Usyk is more of a mover and he doesn't set his feet to throw punches as often as Parker does, plus Parker probably weighs 30 pounds more than Usyk so punch for punch Parker probably hits harder. Usyk is like Muhammad Ali and Jimmy Young who weren't known for punching power, but could hit hard if they set their feet. Nobody walked through their punches and nobody is going to walk through Usyk's either.

Usyk is a big, strong guy, if he sets his feet and transfers his weight for a punch, he's going to hurt the guy he hits. Parker is probably a big puncher, a guy 6-4, 250+ pounds who has been boxing as long as he has is going to hit hard. Parker is probably a bigger puncher than Usyk because of style and weight, but for a one punch shot it's probably close.

I would expect Joe Frazier to walk through Usyk's punches and stop him.

 

Parker has more mass behind his punches so if you put them both to a punching machine test, Parker will come out on top I think. In the ring though, I think usyk has underrated placement and timing, that can amplify the effect of his shots, so it makes opponents hesitate.

 

Usyk relies more on his ridiculous timing.

I know Parker isn't known for being a power puncher but I don't think Usyk would have knocked Bakole out the way Parker did.

 

Right now Parker, he's gotten bigger, he looks scary and with that he's gained more power, I hope he uses that power more often...
