Tommy Loughran vs Mickey Walker

    They met once 1929 10 round bout Split win by Loughran


    I ran these guy's through my boxing simulation very close match.

    Loughran vs Walker 15Ws by Loughran no Knockdowns. One judge 145-140 Walker.

    Who wins the rematch?

    Loughren in my opinion is an underrated fighter. I'd take him in a decision , confidently? No,,,,

    We have their footage. No way that should've been an SD, and Walker didn't have an issue with the outcome. (In his autobiography, the official outcome which infuriated him most was his draw with Sharkey.)

    Tommy's foot positioning with Mickey was impeccable. Loughran was accomplished over the Championship Distance. Prime Tommy was only punched out by Sharkey and Hamas. He avenged both defeats.

    Definitely no knockdowns, let alone a stoppage here. Walker is not somehow decisioning Loughran over the Championship Distance.

    THERE WAS NO BASIS FOR A REMATCH THEN, AND THERE IS NO BASIS NOW.

    Walker can win but theres no reason to pick him over Loughran who was very much the "final villian" of that LHW golden era.
