Sad day for fans…never saw any athlete completely change their persona the way he did.

This one hurts for me. I loved George Foreman. Especially with his attitude change in the 80s.

RIP to one of the one of the time greats. The trio are finally gone, Ali, Frazier and Foreman. And with Foreman's death, that also means every heavyweight champ from Foreman's first rein and back are gone. It truly is the end of an era for the heavyweights with George gone.

It was just 2 years ago where a movie was made about him,I think similar with Ali.

George Foreman has died at the age of 76. Tremendous life and career. One of my happiest boxing moments was watching him defeat Michael Moorer to win the world heavyweight championship for the second time in 1994. He won the championship in 1973 and lost it in 1974. To win it again 20 years later was an amazing, unprecedented feat not likely to be replicated. He also won Olympic gold in 1968. So many great memories watching him fight.

Very sad. Only 76. I wonder what the cause of passing was.

RIP to the most powerful heavyweight that ever lived.

George Foreman died??? He seemed like he was doing well, unless he had an illness he didn't talk about! This is sad.

Absolutely gutted at this news, thought he was still carrying on decently. Big George will always be one of my all time favorites, both phases of his career and his role on the HBO commentary team, thought he'd stick around forever, considering age to just be a number.

I thought this thread would be about George Chuvalo before I clicked it. Chuvalo was older than Ali, Foreman, Frazier and Norton and out lived them all.

I’d noticed he’d gone quiet on Twitter for a while but really didn’t see this coming… thought Foreman would go on for years yet. The man was true class and had a truly unique career. Rest in peace, champ.

Yes it does, indeed! RIP, Champ! Condolences to his family, friends, and fans (me included).

On a personal note, I met him once. It was uplifting being around him. He had the hardest punch ever in my book. And the World is a sadder place with him gone, but he was a believer so I believe I will meet him again!

Damn, very unexpected. My uncle sent me an article about it and I was pretty shocked... He outlived most of his contemporaries and seemed quite good for his age. Like other posters here, I really expected him to be alive for a while longer.

Once undisputed, twice lineal, two time heavyweight champ. R.I.P. to Big George, THE MUMMY!

His notable wins stand to be:
    Gregario Peralta x2
    George Chuvalo
    Joe Frazier x2
    Ken Norton
    Ron Lyle
    Scott Ledoux
    Dwight Muhammad Qawi
    Bert Cooper
    Gerry Cooney
    Alex Stewart
    Michael Moorer
    And many more...
