This hurts more than the others.

George was my favourite fighter along with Frazier from my favourite generation. It only seems like last week when he KO’d Moorer in a sporting miracle.

Ali, Norton and Frazier I knew were battling ill health but George always looked and sounded fantastic. I thought he’d live to be 100.

    RIP you absolute legend

    Rest in Peace, George.

I'll always appreciate your boxing career.

May the bell ring 10 times in your name.

Most effortless power puncher I’ve ever seen. Had the pleasure of shaking that big right hand of his after he’d knocked out Terry Anderson at the London Arena in 1990. I was only 16 and totally in awe of him - RIP Big George

Fantastic fighter and an even better man. I will post a full tribute soon. The rumble in the jungle was the first boxing match I watched alongside my father and then started my life long passion for boxing. Sleep in peace Champ.

R.I.P. Big George! One of the ATG, and one of the most realist, most big hearted to ever step in the ring.

    Ah I’m gutted about this.
Apart from being a truly formidable fighter he was a great man.
He was very humble and a great family man which is the most important thing in life.
R.I.P. Champ you were one of a kind and will be greatly missed.
