    Sure was.

Interesting life and character named all his sons after him so they were all christened and name George Foreman. So they all had to have nicknames to distinguish them. He big George Foreman I was known as Big Daddy, his 1st son George Foreman II was known as Little George or Jr , George Foreman III was known as Monk, George IV was known as Big Wheel, George V as Red and youngest son George Foreman VI known as Little Joey. In fact 2 of his daughters named George as well Frieda-George and Georgetta. Such a charismatic charming man on full display when he came out of retirement and had a series of fights finally regaining the heavyweight championship of the world, compared to the brutish personality in the 1970’s who was so mean having learned under the great Sonny Liston in the 60s. Muhammad Ali is regarded as the greatest because he ended destroying 2 monsters at opposite ends of his career whom nobody else could beat in Liston and Foreman. To cap it off this magnificent personality the true George Foreman ended up making even much more money from the George Foreman Grill than the millions he earned in boxing making conservatively well over $350 Million from the sales.

    What a What a man!

Ali vs Foreman the Rumble in the Jungle in Kinshasa was the first boxing match I ever watched as a young boy starting my life long passion for boxing.

RIP to a bonafide ATG fighter and man who used Boxing to turn his life around and become a genuine Icon of Boxing and the sporting World . In a time when things such as ATG Legend HOF Fighter Monster etc are mentioned far too often, this man had all such monikers associated to his name and rightly so. RIP Champ .

Frazier, Ali and now Foreman. Really thought Big George was going to confidently stride into his eighties. A giant of the sport. Sad news.

Oldest HW champ in history and one of the baddest men to ever do it. We all have our opinion on punchers, but when I think of heavy hitters, his name is the first I'm my mind

Transformed himself to be one of the big personalities in the sport. A great fighter and is one half of arguably the biggest sporting even of the last century

    RIP big George

Being able to capture the Championship as a hungry, mean, relentless, intimidating, young man and then to do it again as an entirely different person being, relaxed, joyfull, a bit overweight, and old is more impressive IMO than at the age he did it. There will never be another like him. Rest in complete peace Big George Foreman. You are a legend!
